Bill Richardson: Democrats Heading Toward Brokered Convention, Could Nominate Michelle Obama

Appearing Saturday on CNN, former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) predicted the 2020 Democrat presidential primary is heading toward a brokered convention and suggested delegates could nominate former first lady Michelle Obama to face off against President Donald Trump in 2020.

Against any other Republican it would be true, but if we have learned anything about Donald Trump is that he does not care what names you call him.

Add to the fact they have been calling him a “racist” since the first day of his campaign the charge sort of lost it’s ability to hurt anyone. The charge of “racist” was once an elephant gun, capable of bringing down the larges target, today it is a bean shooter, barely an annoyance.

Personally I don’t believe Michelle is the secret candidate. She has nothing to run on other than being a woman, a black and married to a former President. What does she bring to the table?

As for her policies, doesn’t matter since she would be a figure head, someone else will be making the decisions for her. President Trump would run against Obama and it would be devastating.

If its a brokered convention, whoever wins will not be a stalking horse who was not in the race. That will turn away moderate/less far left Democrats and independent voters and cost the Democrats the election. There is a difference between people speculating about a person and what the person speculated about actually says. Michelle has not voiced any interest in running for office, and no one in her inner circle has hinted at it.

She's not running, so unless Hillary declares, the Democrats are stuck with the candidates they have >:D (big evil grin).
