The NFL arranged a workout for Colin Kaepernick that was going to be attended by more than two dozen teams.
However, after Kaepernick refused to agree to the leagues conditions regarding the workout, the leagues original anthem protester did a work out at a local Atlanta high school instead.
The NFL released a lengthy statement to describe their disappointment at Kaepernick for choosing to work out at the high school:

Told a friend at the gym yesterday I still refuse to watch those arseholes.
He claimed they had stopped doing the kneeling thing. Told him it was too late, totally lost interest by now.
Really seems like he doesn’t want to play. He’s baiting the NFL over and over not to hire him. Good riddance. Hopefully this latest stunt is the last we hear of this dirtbag.
I don’t get why Colin did that. As much as I don’t want it to happen, he could have gotten a contract easily. He still might. I can only presume that he, Colin chose to sabotage himself. Maybe he was certain they would never take him up on his offer. Much to his surprise, this time, they did.
It was like the day the dog finally caught the moving car, after a three year chase, only to release it again.
For some, there is greater appeal in playing the victim, than someone who resolves the issue, then moves on.
Now, he has yet an additional layer of controversy coating his reputation. Yet an additional reason most coaches would not want him on their team, because he courts drama.
Mr. Kaepernick and the NFL, meet Diamond Dave and Van Halen. Diamond Dave and Van Halen...
Why were they even humoring him?
At this point, he is back-up quarterback status only (humble opinion). Pay-wise? If you look at Colt McCoy (Redskins)...he gets $3.4-million a year as a back-up quarterback. Teddy Bridgewater for the Saints back-up makes around 7-million a year. My guess is that he wants to be signed in the range of 7 to 10 million, by a club who has chances for the playoffs.
If you are that desperate for ‘attention’ and a cheap back-up quarterback...I’d offer him 3-million. For some teams, it might help to fill up empty seats. But the same teams ought to ask themselves....how did they get empty seats in the first place?
After this little stunt and trickery by the untrustworthy Krap, any team who signs him needs a psychological examination.
Mental case.
NFL should ignore him
If I was a team owner I would have sued his soy boy ass. He cost the NFL big time.
Disagree...any team that would be foolish enough to hire him would be rewarded with more empty seats.
In the final analysis, all NFL players are entertainers. If their act hurts and the product and alienates customers, the entertainer does not get paid. He has to take his act to a more receptive paying audience or starve. In Kaepernick’s case the liberals will soon tire if financially supporting him.
... too late, totally lost interest by now.I hope had a similar reaction to Major League Baseball after the MLB strike of 1994 caused them to cancel the World Series. Twenty-five years later and I still dont give a rats patootie about the bums.
He claimed they had stopped doing the kneeling thing. Told him it was too late, totally lost interest by now.
How the hell do we know? They won’t television the national anthem unless its veteran day. Piss on them all. Sunday was my day for football. I’m in year 3 of not even missing it.
How many tens of millions did Nike give him? Why go back to the NFL and risk wearing out his kneecaps?
The NFL is disappointed, whatever. They and Krapernick can go suck an egg.
Some folks thought the empty seat problem was simply a fad, and thing would resolve in two years. So far, that has not been proven. Presently, most all of the clubs are discounting tickets in one form or another (like buying three tickets and getting the 4th free).
What’s keeping the NFL business model going...is strictly the TV contract and fan-gear (but even fan-gear is suffering). The current TV package comes up in 2022. I expect a 25-percent cut on the offer by the networks, and utter shock on the part of the NFL management and owners. The players union will go ballistic if the pay-scale drops.
