‘Charlie’s Angels’ (2019) Review: Man-Hating Woketards Kill Another Franchise
Breitbart ^ | 11/15/2019 | John Nolte

Posted on 11/16/2019 6:48:18 PM PST by RightGeek

The Woketards have destroyed the Charlie’s Angels franchise, just like they did Ghostbusters, Terminator, and Men in Black.

We now have four lucrative franchises that were originally created to appeal to everyone — men, women, young, old… Then the strident feminists goosestepped in, took over, and abused their power to exclude men, demean men, humiliate and mock men. And each time, the result is the same: box office catastrophe, the death of a golden goose franchise.

Based on a dismal opening night, and the fact that at the first screening of Charlie’s Angels in my local theater I was the only person there (something that hasn’t happened to me in 30 years), it seems safe to predict director-screenwriter Elizabeth Banks has doomed her Angels to box office oblivion.

...

Charlie’s Angels isn’t about fun. Instead, it’s about cheap, unearned cheer moments, about preaching to a choir that hasn’t smiled since Anita Hill was proven a liar.

And then there’s the movie’s opening scene where Androgynous Bisexual Angel (Kristen Stewart) kicks a sexist pig’s ass while lecturing us about how “Women can do anything.” Soon she’s joined by Diversity Hire Angel (Ella Balinsk). Although together they weigh less than 89 pounds, both are able to take down more than a dozen 200 pound bodyguards.

This $55 million piece of exhausting garbage delivers 119 minutes of insufferable GRRRRRL power cheese… And other than one somewhat clever scene involving a wig, nothing works. Forget the ham-handed man-hating… Nothing, and I mean nothing works.

Gee John, tell us what you really thought.

To be honest, his descriptions make me realize I would agree with his take, if I paid to see this trash.

I won’t.

One day it will come to a medium I can view it on for next to nothing. And when it turns out to be next to nothing, I’ll feel like I got less than my money’s worth.

Sad.

I could already see some of this coming in other films. In the second Charlie’s Angel’s film, they had the women taking down men who were obviously not going to be taken down by them, but I dismissed reality to enjoy the show.

In truth we do that with men too. The things they try to convince you are possible, is way beyond believable these days. I might buy it from a well chiseled special forces type, but a girl that looks like she couldn’t survive a paper cut, not happening.

One of the new (to me at least) Marvel characters, oddly enough know as “Marvel”, is another character that is quite laughable on the screen.

I didn’t get the impression they were trying to put down men all that much, but the fact is she was supposed to be able to put down the previously invincible male Marvel characters. (so I may be wrong with the comment starting this thought off) It was incredible what she was supposed to be able to physically accomplish.

Used to be men took their dates to the movies. What’s it going to be now, a guy taking his date to a movie that depicts women could kick his ass in three blows? (Let’s ignore the Millennial Male jokes for the moment. We’re watching an industry in self-inflicted death throws.) What guy is going to foot the tab for that nonsense. The Football franchises are being harmed. Movie theaters are being harmed. What’s next, the apple pie and ice cream franchises?

If this keeps up, we can watch the ole movie theater go by the wayside.

It’s more than just killing movie franchises now.

I think between the three of them they took out the entire LAPD in one night. I don’t remember that one, but it was from back in my day when we went to every movie that came out. Looks like it was strictly drive-in fare.

Women: Fearful of one punch.

They needed Mel Gibson as the director.

STUPID SPOILER ALERT SINCE NOBODY’s GOING TO WATCH IT ANYWAY.

In this version, Charlie is really a woman using a man’s voice.

The original Charlie’s Angels was a bad show that most guys only watched for the jiggly bits. A feminist remake is absurd on many levels.

6th franchise proving “go woke go broke” in the past 2 years.
Charlie’s Angels
Terminator
Ghostbusters
Godzilla
Men in Black
X-Men

Social justice is in the process of killing Star Wars.

When it comes to TV, the black remake of “Charmed” has failed, and they’re killing Doctor Who.

I was aware of the discussions of having a black woman fill the role.

Women have to squat to pee. And women can’t kill bugs. They have to ask a man to do it.

"Are Thor and Bond shacking in their slippers yet ?"

I take it you haven't heard about 007.

I just don’t find her attractive at all. The casting could have been much better.

Yes, and this has been going on for half a century now. In the old days, in movies and TV, men were depicted as strong and knowledgeable while women were the weaker but nurturing ones. As in "Father Knows Best", "I Love Lucy", "My Three Sons", etc. Then slowly, men were depicted as buffoons while women were the smart strong ones. As in "All In The Family" with Archie Bunker, "The Flintstones", etc. It has been downhill for men ever since. Pretty much killed commercial TV.

Agree. James Bond as 007 had a license to kill. With her as 007, the motto is "if looks could kill".

For the time the show wasn’t that bad. (the original)

I mean look at any show from back then. The production values weren’t very good compared to today’s. There have been a lot of advancements in the craft, although the acting and story lines have plummeted in recent times.

The upside to Hollyweird producing trash like this is that around here, the movie theaters are empty, and the gun ranges are full of beautiful women shooting tight groups on date night.

***The original Charlie’s Angels***

Even then Hollywood lost it’s originality. I’ve read some of the Charlie’s Angels scripts were just reworks (haircuts) of THE MOD SQUAD.

And meanwhile, a 30 year Ambassador for the State Dept. had her feelings hurt and it was the news of the day. LISTEN UP WOMEN.. You’re either equal or you’re not. You can’t pick and choose when you want to be treated like a lady. As a woman, I found that testimony condescending and frankly, embarrassing. Do you know anyone who gets fired for doing a bad job, then gets to choose their next job which is teaching ONE CLASS while still receiving full pay, benefits and pension funding? Only in government.
