It’s more than just killing movie franchises now.

Yes, and this has been going on for half a century now. In the old days, in movies and TV, men were depicted as strong and knowledgeable while women were the weaker but nurturing ones. As in "Father Knows Best", "I Love Lucy", "My Three Sons", etc. Then slowly, men were depicted as buffoons while women were the smart strong ones. As in "All In The Family" with Archie Bunker, "The Flintstones", etc. It has been downhill for men ever since. Pretty much killed commercial TV.

Pretty much killed commercial TV.

TV Commercials are worse than the movies. ALL men are idiots in current commercials.

The commercials what really surprise me are the ones which portray their customers as idiots of the "Here, hold my beer..." class.
