An army of emotional support dogs was on hand Wednesday to help stressed-out Capitol Hill lawmakers and staffers weary after a year of impeachment-related drama.
Hundreds of journalists, policy wonks and politicians including Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-Ill.) lined up to see the pooches as the first day of public impeachment hearings got underway.
One frazzled Senate staffer was seen clinging to a Japanese Spitz, while a handsome Collie named Remy was only too happy to take Bustos’ mind off collusion and quid pro quo. Blue the Goldendoodle also wore a tie for the special occasion.

The direct election of US Senators (1913 Progressive era measure - 17th Amendment) turned out to be a big mistake, just like the 16th Amendment (another Progressive era measure, authorizing the imposition of a federal income tax). Note in both instances the common theme was direct federal power, control over the individual citizens of the states. This “bypassing the states” ..usurping their sovereignty... the states are supposed to be the general sovereigns in this country to begin with — has led to a ‘dictatorship style’ tyranny from WashDC...
The next step in imposing an even tighter tyranny will be the “democratic reform” of abolishing the Electoral College

Well, it must be quite stressful to spend weeks building a narrative, coaching the “witnesses,” and feeding selected leaks to the media, then actually opening the play to the public to see how well it will go over. Especially since they know that a sizable number of Americans actually know the facts and therefore will not give rave reviews to their show.
These Rats need to be arrested for animal cruelty. To force innocent dogs to give aid and comfort to treasonous Rats is nothing short of abuse and animal cruelty.
A lot of congressional staffers are young people, who, if educated in public schools and liberal universities, only know revisionist history and Marxist economics. Sad that THAT type of person does a lot of the research, and information gathering, and not a little input into legislation. Lord, we’re almost beyond help. You are our only hope.
