Too convoluted and complex for the average person to follow. Read the transcript. No quid pro quo, the Ukrainians were not aware the aid was being held up, and the aid was provided. What’s the problem? What’s the crime?

Good grief....even Ray Charles can see it’s a coup d’etet and he’s blind AND dead.
If I heard his opening statement correctly he actually admitted to telling the Ukrainians not to announce an investigation when they were planning to do so. He directly interfered with multiple Ukrainian officials to get them not to cooperate with American policy because he thought it was in the better interests of Ukraine.
That’s what I want to know. Is there even a Republican Counsel at all? Or just a Democratic one?

His claimed number one concern was that Ukraine not become embroiled in domestic American politics because then Ukraine would not enjoy bipartisan support? Why would he not be concerned that Ukraine paid off the Democrat vice presidents son and then got a prosecutor fired and now did not want to investigate this interference in American politics? How would that help Ukraine earn bipartisan support?
