If I heard his opening statement correctly he actually admitted to telling the Ukrainians not to announce an investigation when they were planning to do so. He directly interfered with multiple Ukrainian officials to get them not to cooperate with American policy because he thought it was in the better interests of Ukraine.
I find it interesting that if an Oval Office meeting with the President of the United States was so important to the Ukrainians, why were they delaying making a pro forma announcement about making an investigation into corruption in Ukraine in reference to corruption surrounding the 2016 US elections and the previous investigation into Burisma that Zelensky had ALREADY agreed to do in the July 25th phone call with President Trump.
It makes absolutely no sense at all to delay such an announcement that they have started for over a month! It would be NOT in their national interest to delay, especially if they were almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes as stated in the July 25th call. They would have fallen all over themselves to get that announcement out there. . .
......”He directly interfered with multiple Ukrainian officials to get them ‘not’ to cooperate with American policy because he thought it was in the better interests of Ukraine”....
Well he tried to which is why he went there....obviously he discovered he was out of the loop! It was actually funny listening to his detailed report about all the footwork he did running from one to the other to find out what was going on.....lolol....He wasn’t ‘troubled’ about anything he was hearing....he was troubled because he wasn’t in the loop!
