Vice President Joe Biden's aides were worried about "the optics" of his son, Hunter, working for a Ukrainian energy company in 2014, but they refused to raise the issue so as to not risk "a scolding" from the elder Biden, according to a report by The New York Times.
The aides "enlisted State Department officials to gather facts to determine how to handle the story" of Hunter Biden's work on the board of Burisma Holdings, to which he was appointed that year, the Times reported Sunday.
"Hunter Biden's activities struck many of the officials working on Ukraine policy as an unnecessary distraction, or worse," according to the Times.
But "few, if any, had raised the issue with Mr. Biden directly when it first arose."
That was because Biden had "reacted angrily" when aides to Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, Ill., "raised the issue of his son's lobbying during the 2008 campaign."

Of course he got angry. How do you expect to get that bribe money without a relative as a cutout.
.
Biden is angry old man that has always been corrupt.
Biden told companies and CEOs, if you help my family, you are helping me.
Big Banks financed the Bidens for decades.
Its beginning to look like the MSM is willing to throw Biden under the bus to keep anyone from looking closer at Ukraine.
The DNC is desperately looking for someone both Wall Street and the Base would support.
The Slimes are trying to lie his way out of it, obviously. "Oh, gee, I didn't 'no' nothin' about it." What a steaming pile of ********. Thanks Libloather.
Partisan Media Shills update.

Exactly. Since Congressional pubbies are scared of their shadows, it is once again time for Legal Insurrection to submit a FOIA for the documents.
I was looking so forward to Biden beating Trump like a drum, but sadly, I doubt he’ll go much longer. Could be just the beginning of the Bidens’ troubles though, even after he bows out. Taking bribes through your corrupted children is still TAKING BRIBES. Taking them from our enemies is even worse.
Son of a Bitch
Dont count out Quid Pro Joe.
They are playing him words on the record player as we speak.
Of course the Main Stream Media had no questions about this.
The MSM says that the CFR interview doesn’t exist! Stop posting images and video to validate your conspiracy theory!
Bump
Dammit, you're onto me. ;^)
Of course not, and now they can say, it has all been looked into, nothing was found, no corruption. That is the mainstream and DNC defense, no corruption was found when we all looked into it, yet there are no articles, no investigation by Justice or the State Department.
Here's their spin: There is currently no evidence that Hunter Biden broke Ukrainian law in his time on Burisma's board. As far as I know, that is true. I doubt that there was a Ukrainian law in effect that would have prohibited Hunter Biden from asking his father to use America's political power to end Ukrainian state prosecutor Viktor Shokin's investigation into Burisma.
From The Hill's John Solomon:
...as vice president in March 2016, (Joe Biden) threatened to cancel $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, to pressure Ukraines then-President Petro Poroshenko to fire Shokin. The above is from https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/463307-solomon-these-once-secret-memos-cast-doubt-on-joe-bidens-ukraine-storyAt the time, Shokins office was investigating Burisma. Shokin told me he was making plans to question Hunter Biden about $3 million in fees that Biden and his partner, Archer, collected from Burisma through their American firm. Documents seized by the FBI in an unrelated case confirm the payments, which in many months totaled more than $166,000.
The question is not whether Hunter Biden broke Ukrainian laws, but whether Joe Biden threatened the Ukrainian president with loss of one billion dollars in order to protect Hunter Biden's outrageously lucrative sinecure at Burisma. Why was Hunter so valuable to Burisma? He had no background in Burisma's business. His only value appears to have been in his ability to convince his father to pull the strings that would save Burisma from being prosecuted for corruption. It looks like Joe did exactly that. The investigator was fired, the investigation was shut down, and Hunter kept raking in the money.
That should be illegal under American law, even if it is legal in Ukraine.
