Harvard's student government, the Undergraduate Council, has voted to support Act on a Dream, an activist student group calling for a boycott of The Harvard Crimson.
The council's statement does not specifically endorse the boycott. But it does express solidarity with Act on a Dream, whose members want the student newspaper to apologize for seeking comment from representatives of U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement in articles.
As I noted in my previous coverage of this kerfuffle, seeking comment from relevant parties is standard journalistic practice and ought to be commended. Instead, the activists have somehow convinced themselves that when The Crimson talks to ICE, it makes the campus less safe for undocumented immigrants.

2019 is so 1984.
Well, when these twits ask us to put the taxpayers on the hook for their student loans, my response will be NSFW.
Do these immature cry babies think this behavior brings credit to the university and added worth to their diplomas? If so, they are sadly mistaken. There should be a ban on government hiring of graduates from anti-American universities.
Yeah, I’ll bet Harvard is a hotbed for illegals. Also, when did it become fashionable to ignore the facts?
America’s once respectable institutions of learning have degenerated into intellectually and morally vacuous puppet factories.
Yet another marker that these folks are not liberals at all, but fascists. And not just casual fascists, but ones well on their way down that road.
T’is good the young fascists are not schooled in combat arms or tactics.

Crimestop. The faculty of stopping short, as though by instict, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. Crimestop is a necessary mental discipline for good party members in 1984.
Journalism 101 is completely ignoring freedom of the press and freedom of speech. It is also ignoring the basics of journalism - who, what, where, when, why and how.
Sadly, today’s meaning of journalism is equal to a little 12 year old journaling her world as she wishes it to be.
When are the midnight book burnings scheduled on this campus?
I think you will find that most students are not a problem. They are very normal people. All this socialist fervor comes from the professors. They create the problem and they make up much of the agitator mobs. Students are brought along as shields and PR. But the protests are almost always run by professors hiding in the crowds.
I heard a perfect way to payback student loans rather than these criminal politicians supporting their criminal cohorts in higher ed and having us pay for it. Raid the endowments of all the universities, Yale and Harvard have about 70 million combined. Pay off all the student loans, and then disband them all
And becoming ever more so like 1861.
“...when The Crimson talks to ICE, it makes the campus less safe for undocumented immigrants.”
But mi amigo. I am dooeeng my post-grad werk, and soon I weel have a feeneeshed theesees. Yoo cannot deport mee now.
Student government...
What could go wrong?
Just more evidence that college degrees are increasingly not worth the paper they are printed on - including Harvard.
Probably 70 Billion.
Harvard, home to Communist traitors and the death of free speech/publishing. Let’s put that on their diplomas. It is well earned.
