I think mankind might have an affect but it is so small as to be insignificant compared to the much larger and infinitely more complex orbital and solar cycles.

The atmosphere is made up of many gases. The favorite target of these climate idiots, is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide makes up four one=hundredths of one percent (.04%). Ninety-five percent (95%) of that is generated by water vapor. Someone needs to ask these politicians to explain how curbing the use of oil will do a damn thing towards reducing global warming (even if you believe the cause and effect alleged).

As a person who worked in a newsroom at one point (Albeit as an intern.) the basic Reporting 101 question I would have is...

How many climatologists are in the world?

11,000 seems to be an impossibly high number for the category. Any given TV market has maybe 5 full time meteorologists, bigger markets maybe double that. Throw in military, NOA, AccuWeather, Weather Channel etc. You’re probably at a whopping 1,500 full time weather professionals in the US.

So, where are all of the climatologists positions anyways? Where are they predominantly employed? There’s very little call for them professionally outside say, agriculture and forestry.

This 11,000 figure is highly dubious as a starting sample size, let alone as a 100% consensus.

I have a step-by-step syllogism that outlines the sun’s control of the climates of all its planets. I used to post my syllogism here on FR, until an FR admin told me not to post it anymore.

“syllogism”
Thanx for the info and education. Had to lookup syllogism.

It says “scientists”, not meteorologists.

The earth has been getting warmer since 1776 that I know of.

I know this because sea level has risen 2 feet on the Atlantic Coast since then.

The reason I know this is because, in order to protect my pristine, wilderness property from confiscation by "environmentalist," I had to prove that I owned it by right of a grant from the King of England. I proved it. There were two grants, both from the colonial period. I proved that sea level had risen 2 feet since then because the salt marsh, still covered by the stumps of trees, was originally forested high land, and the tree stumps had been cut by steel instruments, proving they the trees were cut down in the Industrial Age. It was possible to measure the rise of sea level from before 1776 until the 21st century.

Incidentally, although I proved ownership by royal grant, and it was my desire and intention to keep the gorgeous property pristine and as a wildlife sanctuary and explained this to the "environmentalists," they bullied and threatened me to the extent that I sold the property to a group of developers (at a huge profit). The "environmentalists" didn't care. They just wanted to be bigshots and bullies. I wept when I heard the saws cutting down the first trees. The property is now stumps and weeds. The development was not a success. I don't know what happened to the beautiful wildlife whose home was destroyed, including a beautiful family of deer whom my wife and I loved to watch running through the forest and across the marshes. We are both vegetarians and did not allow hunting or fishing on the property.

This is just one reason why I have no respect for "environmentalists" and their "movement."

Not one climate change prediction made in the last 50 years has come true.

You want the truth? There it is.

Well that was interesting.

Total sq Miles = 196,600,000
Ocean = 139,586,000 (71%)
Land = 57,014,000 (29%)
Land that is “artificial surfaces” & crops = 7,525,848 (3.828%)

(http://www.fao.org/uploads/media/glc-share-doc.pdf)

Population = 7,500,000,000

Avg Acres / Person = 0.642 (if everyone was distributed across all the artificial surfaces & crop land)

Not sure what that proves, but we’ve impacted ~3.8% of the earth’s surface, That’s most likely a low estimate.

‘I believe man is not capable of affecting it. IMO’

What man is eminently capable of doing is grabbing huge swaths of natural habitats and imperiling wildlife everywhere...

One reader (a degreed archeologist) broke down the “climate scientists” - but could only get through about 3800 of them before becoming nauseated by the hypocrisy and the hundreds of false names.
His count from the source:

https://academic.oup.com/bioscience/advance-article/doi/10.1093/biosci/biz088/5610806

The supplemental lists all signatories. I got through 3795 before giving up in disgust.
Of that count of scientists we have ………………….
1437 Researchers (unspecified research field)
972 Students,
294 Lecturers (various affiliations),
273 Directors, former directors and policy makers of conservation, lobby groups and vaguely climate associated institutions.
379 Biologists (Marine/Conservation/ Research/Wildlife/Associate/Evolutionary/several with ambiguous titles)
304 Ecologists (Marine/Research/Forest/Plant/Pollination/Landscape/ several ambiguous titles)
22 Analysts (2 Environmental/ 1 Ecosystem/ 19 unspecified discipline)
which is dandy, except of that 11000 odd, there are ….only 5 Climatologists, 35 Geologists, 3 Archaeologists, 7 Meteorologists, 64 Atmospheric (Chemists, Scientists, Physicists).

Fits right in with the insane notion that Leftists claim that there are too many humans on the planet and we have to stop having babies.

The surest way to reduce population is war. A world war today would reduce populations by billions. And that’s CONVENTIONAL warfare.

When a design for a thermostat on the sun is operational, then we can control the climate.

Carbon dioxide makes up four one=hundredths of one percent (.04%). Ninety-five percent (95%) of that is generated by water vapor.

You mean 95% of the greenhouse effect is generated by water vapor? That's reasonable. Water vapor does not "generate" CO2.
