11,000 SCIENTISTS? JUST KIDDING
Powerline ^ | November 8,2019 | JOHN HINDERAKER

Earlier this week, the world’s news media reported breathlessly that 11,000 scientists had issued a report contending that the Earth faces a “climate emergency.” NBC News, to cite just one example, described a “study” produced by an “international consortium of more than 11,000 scientists.” This screen shot of a Google search illustrates the coverage:

Actually, there was no study, there was just a press release. And it wasn’t 11,000 scientists, it was 11,000 random people who put their names on a web page. But today’s reporters are so biased and so incompetent that when it comes to “climate change,” they will swallow anything.

This video by Canada’s Ezra Levant is a little long, but it makes the point very well. Another day, another global warming fraud:

Flame me if you like, I believe the earths weather cycle is cyclical since the beginning of time. I believe man is not capable of affecting it. IMO

There have been about 9 million science and engineering degrees earned since 2000 (450k avg per year). Thus even if it WAS 11k scientists singing this thing, that would leave about 8.89 million credentialed folks NOT signing this thing.

I think mankind might have an affect but it is so small as to be insignificant compared to the much larger and infinitely more complex orbital and solar cycles.

How much of the Worlds surface is Land? Of that, how much is occupied by Humans? After you answer those questions, what is the percentage of the living Humans that are actively involved in reducing so called Global Warming? Now, tell me what effect you think those efforts will have on saving the Planet from so called Climate Change?

The lying press has been responsible for more misery, including unnecessary wars, since man first began delivering “ news “.

It’s a far greater scandal than most realize.

You do realize that the dinosaurs were also conflicted about the climate change they were causing........

How many weather stations per square foot on the earth's surface AND the ocean temperatures.

No one ever mentions the contributions of the ocean and volcanic emissions to the calculation "historically".

Count me as one of those degreed scientists.

I like to talk about the dangers of implementing any scheme to decrease CO2 in the atmosphere. CO2 is necessary for life. Decreasing it will cause plant species to go extinct—and extinctions will happen before any significant drop in atmospheric CO2 concentrations is observed. By the time CO2 concentrations are significantly decreased, the damage to the biome will be extreme; the ability of the earth to support life will be significantly decreased. And the irony is that as the earth is denuded of life and desertification spreads, global warming will occur, because there will be fewer plants to absorb the energy from the sun.

Of that, how much is occupied by Humans?

Even further, how much of the land is undeveloped prairies, uninhabitable deserts, mountains and polar ice where no humans live?

Reminiscent of the political kow towing collection of German physicists who denounced Einstein and the Russian biologists who publicly accepted the pseudoscience of Stalin’s favorite biologist Lysenko and published false data and did bogus research to please their political bosses. These “climate scientists” have no credibility and will do anything for funding.

HOW DARE YOU!!!

It’s just WRONG—even downright criminal— to say something that makes SENSE!

There’s certainly an effect from having the earth in an elliptical orbit around the sun. Right about now, the earth is closest to the sun in the northern hemisphere winter, and vice versa in summer...which keep things mellow. When the northern hemisphere winter lines up with the earth being at its furthest, we get vicious winters which stick around all year, otherwise called ice ages.

Having said that, man CAN also affect climate. One way is by putting up some type of sunshade or some type of sun collector/deflector system (either in orbit, or just below), although we better be careful before getting too cute.

As to man-made global warming, regardless of whether we can affect it with carbon dioxide, about the only ‘solution’ is to hold-down third world countries (no air conditioning for you poorer countries near the equator), and also taking out China and India, as the amount and increases of those countries simply swamp out anything that the West does, whether we like it or not.

If 11,000 scientists ever agreed on anything then scientific study could cease, there would be no need to study and research anything, no more exploration of Earth and the universe, no more medical research, we could pretty much close the universities and all go home. Science and scientists hardly ever agree on anything.

Jane Hanoi Fonda says she is a climate scientist for decades. One of Bill Klinton’s climate scientists was a barber. The bar for scientist is quite low.

Science is never “settled”, and its advancements are made by brave individuals. (With data and analytics)

There is a brave former Georgia tech professor that has the truth of climate science.

Facts:
Water vapor is the major greenhouse gas, man has no impact on its concentration in the atmosphere.

The solar energy directed at Earth varies. This variation of input energy is enough to explain temperature variations. Any model that leaves this out as a possible explaining variable is seriously flawed.

Mankind is an input, and thus has an affect.
Problem is it’s probably 0.0000000000000000001%
