The Democratic plan to dominate state legislatures has its first electoral success.
The National Democratic Redistricting Committee, led by former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, is spending in key states to influence state Supreme Court races, with the end goal of redrawing election maps..
...
Eric Holder will be celebrating this week for a decade.
Democrats .. will redraw Virginias legislative district lines after next years census. The Old Dominion was already moving left, though the redistricting power likely cements Democratic dominance over Virginia for the next 10 years.
This was Mr. Holders plan.. Holder was launching the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, committed to domination of electoral mapmaking through the courts and legislatures. The NDRC spent its first years aggressively litigating legislative maps it didnt like, to great success. Virginias election was the first test of the electoral piece of Mr. Holders strategy, and it will now serve as the model by which Democrats attempt to gain redistricting power in 11 other key states next year.
...
Holders group has never engaged in blue states where Democrats routinely draw maps to disadvantage Republicans, such as Maryland, Massachusetts or New Jersey.
...
The Holder sue to blue litigation strategy has already yielded major gains for Democrats, as state judges struck down maps drawn by Republicans and required changes that ultimately aided the Democrats. Example: Pennsylvanias Supreme Courtwhich is chosen through partisan elections and has a Democratic majorityin 2018 overruled the U.S. House maps drawn by the Republican legislature and produced its own version. The new maps helped Democrats flip three net seats. In Virginia, federal judges redrew the state legislative map to aid candidates running this week.

Well put. The rats are playing chess, while our guys are making dinner plans.
With our schools and MSM and social media all supporting the rats, and with conservatives and patriots effectively silenced...
While we sit and wait for the house of cards to fall on top of these criminal bastards...........when?
And Repugnants are lazy and cowardly. The former would not be possible without the latter.
It started years ago.
They are the only ones allowed to do so by the courts, it seems. Everywhere the GOP controls legislatures, their redistricting gets shot down by the courts.
Over the last two decades, there has been a distinct direct correlation between the growth of the Deep State swamp in DC and the bluing of Virginia.
It's become a bedroom community of the bureaucratic elites and their subordinates.
Aw crap. Home of so many of our Founders. Hope he does not mess with their sites and homes.
'Time to move the Capitol out west somewhere...
A lot of empires in the past moved their capitals around. It is not unprecedented. Alexander the Great never really made up his mind which city was the capital of his newly won domain.
I predict their attempt at “total power” will be “blown away”...so to speak.
We have considered moving out of CT into a “good state”, but the demographic trends are a big issue—and do not look good in many states with warmer climes.
One advantage CT small towns have is they can veto town spending on infrastructure to stop growth dead in its tracks.
Many southern communities do not have that capability.
Oh; wait.
That's Virginia; not vagina.
Until the GOPE realizes it is in a fight for survival, results like this will be the norm. VA GOPE will not support conservatives (Cuccianelli/Stewart going back to Oliver North in 1994) and conservatives are totally fed up with GOPE. Time to figure it out. Also the NRA was outspent 20-1 by gun grabber groups. They need to get their act together and fast or another 2A group has to pick up the slack
