According to Moira Kim Penza, the lead federal prosecutor at Raniere's trial, Raniere created a “girls school” for Mexican teenagers, many of whom were recruited from within the LeBaron community to live in the Albany area under the care of a "first-line slave" for Raniere.
Raniere secretly operated a"master/slave" group known as DOS or “Dominus Obsequious Sororium," which translates from Latin as "Lord/Master of the Obedient Female Companions."

“I believe the girls from the LeBaron community were targeted specifically because, having been raised in a polygamist sect, they were more vulnerable to Raniere’s teachings on sexuality, including that it is natural for women to be monogamous and for men to have more than one partner—a philosophy that served Raniere’s own sexual preferences,” Penza said.
At a Jness meeting in Apropos, a former Halfmoon restaurant on Route 9, NXIVM president Nancy Salzman parroted Raniere's words that some children are "adult-like," mentally capable of experiencing sex with adults and "perfectly happy" doing so.

They showed in the news that the family went looking for them.They found a car with car seat in the back with the lid down and a bullet hole through it.They opened the lid and a one year old baby was smiling at them.Made me want to cry.

The hysterics come from this demand to do something for the children, the most manipulative ploy you can use. Anchor baby or not, these people were abusing their U.S. citizenship to fleece taxpayers. Why were they living in Mexico? Mexico being dangerous is no secret.
I for one think these victims were 1000% blameless but again I ask. What was the motive? As evil as cartels are they don’t smoke women and children just for fun. They do it for a reason. With two cars separated by miles this was not a case of mistaken identity as far as the cars are concerned. Did the cartel know there were women and children in the cars? We don’t know. It was a hit and hits always have a purpose. What was the purpose?

So motive is irrelevant? It was a horrendously despicable crime, but cartels do things for reasons. If they kidnap someone it is for ransom or to put them in the sex trade. If the kill a judge’s or police captains family it is to make LE too afraid to take them on. When they bomb a rival cartel it is to take over territory. If a cartel member shoots someone in the face for disrespecting them it has a reason.
Killing women children and BABIES is not done for no reason. It is not even that some psyco went off because crying babies triggered him. It was a hit. Why was there a hit?

NYT is putting out stories like this to paint the women and children as somehow deserving of murder. The cartel may have had their reasons, that doesn’t justify the murder of American women and babies.

People are also missing that there is an open cartel war going on right now. Agua Prieta (border community S. of Douglas, AZ) is a hot spot and is about 70 miles N. of where this happened?
Isolated area and the community these women and children are from has had other issues with cartels over the years.

I think Dominus obsequiosarum sororum would be correct (or perhaps Dominus obsequentium sororum).
NXIVM tried to recruit from this community because the women were vulnerable. That has nothing to do with the cartel. The Lebaron family did apparently have some run-ins, or were speaking out against the cartel.
