Senate Democrats issued stark warnings on Wednesday that Republicans would severely damage the institution of Congress if they acquiesced to a push from Trump allies to haul former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter for testimony about their actions in Ukraine.
A top Biden ally, Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE), told The Daily Beast that calling the 2020 presidential contender—who served for 35 years in the Senate—and his son for testimony “would be literally rolling a grenade down the aisle of the Senate” that would have “lasting consequences” on the upper chamber’s ability to work together.
The idea of bringing in the Bidens to testify has gained traction in recent days as allies of President Donald Trump have flirted with counter-programming the impeachment proceedings in the House by having the GOP-led Senate call witnesses of their own.

Please add Obama, Jarret, Hillary,Huma, Kerry, Fusion GPS, GPS Xos and ??? Ohr, Page, Strock (sp), Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Wray, Sessions, etc. etc. Their stories seem to have been ignored in the Mueller report and subsequent hearings.

Sadly, elected members of Congress of both parties will circle the wagons to protect each other. Trump is the outsider. Biden (and son), Pelosi (and son), Kerry (and son) is business as usual.

True bring in all the dirty democrats and expose them for their ukraine dealings. Also President Trump should release some of his predecessors calls to illustrate foreign policy calls and how they often deal with us telling other countries what we wpould like them to do.

Not sure of your meaning but I should have included a “sarcastic sense of irony” tag to my statement in case some one misinterpreted my statement as friendly to Dem’s....
Such a “grenade” would certainly leave a few Republican senators open to exposure of their own “high crimes” and misdemeanors.
That’s why the Fathers should have included term limits so that no congress person or senator can stay in office long enough to become corrupt and to enrich themselves and their families off the backs of the electorate!

Billions were sent to Ukraine by Obama. The Ukrainians divided it up and paid off their supporters (Biden, Kerry, Pelosi kin) with paybacks through outlets like the one that paid off Hunter B. Hopefully, Barr and Durham are following the money. Trump asking the President of Ukraine to pay more attention to what was going on seems like a good thing for the American taxpayers who had to borrow the $ from China to send to the Ukraine.
Do the Republicans ever warn Democrats about lasting consequences for them if they impeach Trump? I guess calling Biden to testify is a greater offense than trying to impeach a president on any pretext that they can find.
The problem is, it's not just Democrats.
