Kinda. It looks like the Dems still control things by a large margin

I believe these races (4 Assembly and 1 Senate pickups) were in Jeff Van Drew’s congressional district - Van Drew was one of the two Dems in the House to vote against the loony impeachment authorization.

NJ is pretty much a microcosm of the country, with the Democrats densely concentrated in the urban areas, and the Repubicans scattered throughout the rural areas.

Northwestern Jersey is also conservative. NJ gets a bad rap.

The results in the 8th were a setback for Democrats who turned the district increasingly blue in the Trump era.

The phony witch hunt era.
The Trump era is defined by winning.

Cape May is the oldest settlement in America. 1620. Very conservative and lovely. Victorian architecture from the 1800s

My little town in North NJ - 12 miles from NYC -— the way the bird flies -— was once conservative, but families from NYC move here because of the excellent school system. A Dem town now.

Politically New Jersey would be totally different if we could get get rid of Jersey City, Newark, Paterson, Elizabeth, New Brunswick, Trenton, Camden and Atlantic City. Not all portions of the state are right leaning but those cities are downright crazy Democrat cesspools.
