LIBERTARIANS CELEBRATE “DELICIOUS TEARS” FROM BEVIN SUPPORTERS
WKYT ^

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Libertarian Party of Kentucky says it is celebrating “delicious tears from Bevin supporters after Tuesday’s general election ended with a victory from Democrat Andy Beshear, a victory Governor Matt Bevin disputes.

The Libertarian Party says it is thrilled to have “split the vote”.

“IN AN IDEAL WORLD, WE ELECT LIBERTARIAN CANDIDATES AND ADVANCE LIBERTY. FAILING THAT, WE PUSH MAINSTREAM CANDIDATES TOWARDS LIBERTY TO ADVANCE THE CAUSE. - ADVERTISEMENT -

BUT IF WE CAN’T DO THOSE THINGS, WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO SPLIT THE VOTE IN A WAY THAT CAUSES DELICIOUS TEARS. TONIGHT THERE ARE PLENTY OF DELICIOUS TEARS FROM BEVIN SUPPORTERS.

HAD MATT BEVIN NOT DITCHED HIS LIBERTY LT GOVERNOR FOR A MITCH MCCONNELL PICKED ANTI LIBERTY, CORRUPT RUNNING MATE WHO HAS TRIED TO ELIMINATE KENTUCKIANS JURY TRIAL RIGHTS, HAD MATT BEVIN NOT PRESIDED OVER A HUGE SALES TAX INCREASE, HAD MATT BEVIN SUPPORTED ANY OF OUR KEY ISSUES ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM, MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION, EXPANDED GAMING, CUTTING TAXES, OR ACTED WITH THE LEAST BIT OF CIVILITY, WE PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE RUN A CANDIDATE. OF COURSE, HE DID THE OPPOSITE. AND HERE WE ARE.

WE SPLIT THE VOTE. AND WE COULD NOT BE MORE THRILLED. IF OUR FRIENDS IN THE MAJOR PARTIES DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN, THEY SHOULD THINK ABOUT PASSING RANKED CHOICE VOTING. AND SUPPORTING OUR ISSUES.

No winner of any election should be declared the winner until they have 50% plus one of the vote. The way is is now, the RAT had more people voting against him than for him.

Except that Republicans won nearly all the other statewide offices.

Libertarian philosophy is not to engage in any strategy to split he votes enough to destroy liberty for the whole.

“”MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION
Oops, there it is.””

Wade through the BS and that’s what it comes down to. Libertarians will sell their soul and the rest of us down the river just to smoke dope.

“I hope that made sense.”

It does to me. I just turned 60 and it’s still a rare day when Mr. Happy isn’t up before I am. LOL.

Yep, pot. I left the libertarian party when I realized their only focus was always on smoking pot.

Paul Ryan and many of the other Rinos are Libertarian-Republicans. A lot of Libertarians made a conscious decision to run as Republicans since they could not win as Republicans. They boarded the GOP like pirates and ran the party’s reputation into the ground. Trump represents a return to the old GOP which is making the Uniparty very unhappy. The reason there is a Uniparty is down to people like Paul Ryan.

How ironic that libertarians, who claim to oppose government control and champion limited government, would support a DEMOCRAT.

I don’t trust the libertarians any more.

Liberaltarians are just that. They are liberal Democrats who don’t have the stomach to say what they really are. Time and time again in close races like this, people who have not watched them over the years “blame/credit” them with swinging elections to Democrats. The truth is they ARE Democrats to begin with so if there was no Liberaltarian candidate they vote Democrat their natural selves.

I meant to say, they ran as Republicans because they could not win as Libertarians since the party apparatus isn’t there because they run their party according to their principles.

Libertarianism is a fully legitimate way to run some entities (like businesses) under an umbrella of another -ism, but Libertarianism is no way to govern a country in a big bad world.

They are right about one thing in particular Bevin screwed up on: GAMING.

Curious, how so?

I travel to Kentucky to attend the horse races at Keeneland, and this year for the first time also at Kentucky Downs. At Kentucky Downs, the horse racing seems almost an afterthought as the business seems to center on electronic slot machines, so obviously these are legal in Kentucky. Is this about card rooms and/or roulette wheels?
