Smuggling gangs in Mexico have continuously sawed through President Trumps controversial border wall using every day power tools, according the U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the incidents.
The security breaches, made with a popular cordless reciprocating saw that can sell for less than $100, has been used to open gaps large enough for people and drug loads to filter through.
When fitted with 'specialized' blades, the tool can break through one of the wall's steel and concrete bollards in just minutes.
The Washington Post reports that after slicing through a bollard, smugglers will push the steel out of the way, allowing an adult to fit through the opened space.

There is no such thing as an impenetrable wall. You can scale it with the right ladders or dig under it. Best thing to do is to go after and fine the living hell out of the American employers with threats of property confiscation and jail time. You will never stop this until the employers face severe consequences. Also no voting or welfare period. Treat them as lepers.

I was assured by some here that we MUST have a wall because future Democrats would not police the border.
But guess what, democrats in power could cut patrols while the Mexicans cut “the wall”.
So your idea is probably the best.

Snipers would help too. Step though the wall and meet a .50 cal BMG. It works in the middle east. It will work on the border too.

I used to shoot prairie dogs and leave their bodies to rot at the holes they came out from. When enough holes had been blocked they went away.

Ok let move on with step 2 of this.
This is not “Trumps Wall” this is the wall the GOPE stooges, along with the Democrat Fascists, in the US House imposed on Trump. This is the “compromise” wall the Democrat Fascists insisted on in place of the wall Trump actually wanted built.

"This is Fake News. Sawing through concrete with a reciprocating saw is bull. Getting through this wall in minutes is a lie. Maybe a gas powered abrasive saw. But not in minutes and without water."
Agreed. The piece is a lie. I've used reciprocating saws, circular concrete saws and just about every kind of saw. Those bollards would be time consuming to cut through, and battery powered tools would be the worst. There are ways, but getting through that fence wouldn't be fast work without some particular demo ordnance or heavy equipment with expensive modifications.
The wall is only one of several kinds of security measures that allow time for the Border Patrol to do its work, and all of those security installations and training need to be done before assessing the efficacy of border security.

"Apparently Americans NEED drugs to feel good...maybe even to feel."
Some of the more popular drugs permanently damage GABA receptors--especially a few drugs that a few psychologists want legalized (MDMA, benzos, etc.). People who begin to abuse drugs are unaware that they'll soon be feeling long term or permanent swings between anxiety and depression and won't feel good any more. The product of such drugs is the commonly known drug zombie, who continues his decline while fallaciously advocating what is making him miserable and killing him.

Electrify the fence but to sooth the greenies, use solar and wind power to generate the charge. ;^/

Alligator and piranha-filled moat around electrified fence.

How about a Predator UAV unmanned aircraft firing Hellfire missiles to discourage that.

Don’t get me wrong-if someone is determined enough, strong enough and weak-minded enough (like removing grout on tile manually-you need a weak mind and a strong back) it can be done.
If someone goes out in the desert with a truck with a generator/gas powered device and wants to use something like that it can be done.
But as people who think about it can see, it is harder than just walking across an imaginary line in the sand.

I expect if they implant various solar powered detectors on the US side that transmit, and are shielded from someone with a gun taking it out from the Mexican side, and they detect noise and vibration, even something like that would do it.

Of course its possible, they could just use shaped demolition charges as well. A big enough hydraulic ram would do it as well.
Its going to happen more often now as the smugglers get starved and become desperate.

You've covered all the bases.

Thank you for your insight.

They did an engineering study that showed a battery powered sawzall with the right blade would cut through it in 15 to 20 minutes, or half that time if two saws are used at once. The result is an opening that a single adult can pass through. But like you say, that is a HUGE improvement over an imaginary line or a rickety fence. There are any number of sensors that could easily detect a saw working on a metal structure. I have no doubt that even those few minutes of lead time makes catching them *far* more likely, which in itself is a deterrent.
