After a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy invited a man to slap him in the face, the lawman returned the slap with enough force to knock the older man to the ground, prosecutors said.
Now that deputy, Ellison Collins, faces a charge of assault in the September 2018 incident. A Harris County grand jury indicted the deputy on Tuesday, the district attorney’s office said.
The incident occurred outside of an IHOP when Collins, 39, encountered the man in the parking lot. Collins invited 61-year-old Jerry Allen Vaco to slap him in the face and after Vaco did, Collins returned the slap, the office said. The force knocked the man to the ground.

I’ve never been extremely smart or extremely stupid, although I’ve had moments that were borderline both ways. Stupid numbers being slightly higher, but this rises to levels or drops as Your view point directs to real stupid. 61 should know better and 39 might get to meet Bubba who holds a grudge.
There are numerous youtube videos showing Russians doing this to each other. I’ve even seen one with two women hard-spanking each other back and forth, no expression in their faces. Why ask why?
Throw them both into the same cell for 3 months. It will change their lives.

This is one of those “What the heck was he thinkin’???” moments.
The deputy again tells Vaco to slap him.
“I am giving you permission to slap the (s- - - -) out of me, and get it off your chest,” the deputy said.
Vaco puts a cigarette in his mouth and begins to slowly reach out with his palm toward to deputy. It is unclear in the video if Vaco slaps the deputy.
The deputy then slaps Vaco, causing him to fall to the ground on his face. Two of the deputies begin handcuffing Vaco. The deputy then tells Vaco, “That was stupid” as they escort him away.
ALL THREE DEPUTIES should face charges.
WTH does that have to do with this topic?
Good god... not only HE should have been arrested, but the cops who failed to intervene should face the same charges.
I always give the police the benefit of the doubt. With that said, this was a clear-cut assault.

Um, no. The deputy is the one facing prison. The old guy is looking at a comfortable retirement.
