Californians know that having tens of thousands of homeless in their major cities is untenable. In some places, municipal sidewalks have become open sewers of garbage, used needles, rodents and infectious diseases. Yet no one dares question progressive orthodoxy by enforcing drug and vagrancy laws, moving the homeless out of cities to suburban or rural facilities, or increasing the number of mental hospitals.
Gas prices of $4 to $5 a gallon the result of high taxes, hyper-regulation and green mandates add insult to the injury of stalled commuters. Gas tax increases ostensibly intended to fund freeway expansion and repair continue to be diverted to the states failing high-speed rail project.
Residents shrug that the states public schools are among weakest in the nation, often ranking in the bottom quadrant in standardized test scores. Elites publicly oppose charter schools but often put their own kids in private academies.
Californians know that to venture into a typical municipal emergency room is to descend into a modern Dantes Inferno. Medical facilities are overcrowded.
No one would dare to connect the crumbling infrastructure, poor schools and failing public health care with the non-enforcement of immigration laws.
Millions of fed-up middle-class taxpayers have fled the state. About one-third of the nations welfare recipients live in California.
California is now a one-party state. Democrats have supermajorities in both houses of the Legislature.
Our resolute ancestors took a century to turn a wilderness into California. Our irresolute generation in just a decade or two has been turning California into a wilderness.

If you stay out of the highly urbanized areas of Mexifornia you can basically avoid the liberal funk. This societal decay is nation wide problem so the best you can do is stand and fight where you are. This crap is coming to your town.
Lights are back on after 5 days. I guess we should be happy.
As California has descended into madness, the rest of the nation is also descending into madness.
Gun control.
"Red Flag" laws.
Hyper-environmental paganism.
"Sanctuary" policies that openly defy Federal law.
Floods of illegal third-world hoards.
You can find these things now in many, many states - even ones people label as "conservative."
100% correct.
We can’t even plan a vacation in CA any more. My wife won’t got to Mexico for the all criminals and she won’t go to CA for the terrible roads, the horrific homeless problem, the outrageous gas prices and now the regular power outages. Who wants to go on vacation in a place where they regularly cut the power?!?
PG&E has no money left for maintenance. All of it is going to lawyers, fines, settlements and lawsuits. This is what happens when a business is regulated to death.

The voters approved a doubling of the gasoline tax & significant increase in annual registration fees in 2017, effective 07/01/19. New Governor Newsom has just shifted some of these promised road repair funds to a government plan to discourage car use in the future.

Classic elite action; "Do as I say, ignore what I actually do!"
About one-third of the nations welfare recipients live in California.
Classic marketing maxim ignored by the LEFT; make free stuff attractive and you will get more people coming in to get it!
Its the voters fault and so let them suffer their folly...They should not be bailed out. Reaping what they have sown...
Democrats are incompetent when it comes to governing. In an engineering, law or medicine trade they would be hung out to dry for malpractice. As it is they somehow seem to get re-elected. Because the one thing they have perfected is something that would never enter our minds-election fraud.
Most probably, the American people, as a group being brighter and more capable than most Democrat legislators, politicians and judges, are being abused by voter fraud. The American people are NOT electing these Democrats in the numbers across the country in local, state and federal contests that finally prevail after the ballots are counted.Americans are more competent than that.
MOST Democrat election wins most probably involve “voter irregularity”. There just is NO reasonable statistical way by which virtually EVERY SINGLE closely contested US House race was won by a Democrat in 2018.
And we lay back and take it. Generation after generation.
Until we have a California third world mess in our back yard. Until the only way to prevail may well be the 2A route.
I feel I should have compassion for CA citizens.
But all the immoral, progressive crap theyve created, both their own and whats been modeled for the rest of our once-great nation, prevents any compassion in me. FCA.
Yep. Austin is so far gone now. I truly think it cannot recover. Austin never was conservative, but now with the liberals invading, it is quickly becoming a intolerable place to live. Property taxes have, and continue to rise in order to pay for all the “free stuff”.
I just think it couldn’t happen to a better bunch of folks—
Time to break it up!
Self inflicted wounds. I have absolutely no sympathy at all for those people.
