Another impeachment witness who's not exactly unimpeachable
American Thinker ^ | October 30, 2019 | Monica Showalter

Here are some problems with that "narrative":

The other thing was Vindman's showing up for the cameras in a spotless military uniform, medals gleaming from his chest. The guy always wore a suit and tie to his NSC job. Let's call that what it is: some public relations manipulations...

There's more. During the question-and-answer section, Vindman attempted to make changes to an official transcript, given that he was in on the July call between Ukraine's president and President Trump. The reportage suggests that President Trump's transcript was dishonestly concealing references to Burisma. .. Vindman argues that he knew the word that quite possibly the machine did not...The Times says he tried to "correct" the transcript. He may just as easily have been trying to insert words that were never said out of a NeverTrump political motivation.

And about Burisma, the huge, flamingly corrupt energy company in Ukraine that amounts to a gargantuan slice of the economy of that country — it is hardly no national security concern, as Vindman argued in his opening statement. That Joe Biden's son was making tens of thousands of dollars each month in a no-show board job, and that Vindman argued that this wasn't a national security priority, calls into question his so-called expertise. Actually, it makes an argument that he just hated Trump.

Here's more — he apparently worked as a registered foreign agent for Ukraine, which is an astonishing conflict of interest with work on the National Security Council, and leaking presidential transcripts to Ukraine. That's probably the biggest conflict of interest of all.

Why was Vindman, an 0-5, engaging in unsanctioned foreign policy discussions with Ukrainian officials behind the back of the President of the United States?

Why was a foreign agent of the Ukraine, Vindman, even listening to the president in the first place?

And why did the Ukraine hate Trump in 2016?

I spent a career in the military. Anyone who thinks a Lieutenant Colonel can’t make mistakes or remember things incorrectly is out of their mind. An LTC is just another joe. I had to pull one out of a whorehouse in Korea and another out of a lie in just a two year span.

Wait! He was a registered foreign agent while on AD?

Sounds like somebody needs to go to Leavenworth for the long course.

Anklebiter Vindman, a fake American who should never have been in a position of authority in the military.

Oy Vey!

An active duty US military officer is allowed to be a registered foreign agent of another country? That is a new one on me.

If he is still active duty, then something stinks to high heaven.

But you are right. How could he even get a security clearance in the first place, but how could he keep it as a registered foreign agent???

Whatever career he had/has is toast what with Trump being the CIC and his boss and all.

I'm thinking he was one of the translators...or one of the last to review the multiple translations.

I believe there are maybe three translators working simultaneously. After it's all over, they compare notes and resolve any differences.

Now this Vin dude said he tried to change something which was a reference to the Biden video/tape.

But Trump had already clarified what they were talking about "he bragged about getting the prosecutor fired" and ... was inserted since saying it was a video/tape would be redundant. The video was Jan 2018.

What is this guy's problem? He also discussed this very much classified phone call with others....including his brother.

So why isn't he breaking rocks alongside Manafort? Or does being registered mean that it's OK to transmit transcripts to Ukraine while sitting on the NSC? Was Manafort registered?

PING!

From Alexander Solzhenitsyn's Gulag: "“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956

“...he apparently worked as a registered foreign agent for Ukraine...”

Wait just a cotton-pickin’ minute!

If true, how in the name of the wide world of sports does any active Officer in the US Armed Forces “work as a registered foreign agent” at all? Who in his chain of command/supervision signed off on that one (if they even knew about it)?

He obviously had a top secret clearance. Evidently, that doesn’t mean a damn thing anymore when it comes to accountability.

Ukraine and Deep State hate(d) Trump because he was/ is likely to work out a Realpolitik accommodation between Ukraine and Russia to stop the bloody fighting ( and arms dealing) in Eastern Ukraine ( where western energy companies are looking to grab energy resources) and to accept Crimean reintegration with Russia.

Americans will not die for Crimea ( which seems quite majority content to be back in Russia) nor for gas deposits and pipelines in eastern Ukraine,
Nor should we be in the business of selling Ukraine American lethal weapons to kill each other or resell on the black market

So apparently Ukrainians are corrupt even when they become Americans? I’ve never met a Ukrainian, but with all I’ve been learning I certainly never want to meet one. This is disgusting.
