What's the real solution to this?

Double casings on electric lines?

Gas not electric?

Water, and energy shortages maybe because millions of illegals are using them.
The problem is that these ignorant, turds on the left leave their socialist , pro illegal dump and then move to red states , but keep voting the way they did back in CA, NY, NJ, MA

so the state, for decades has denied pge’s ability to maintain and upgrade their distribution facilities. so now those facilities cannot cope with demand, and overheat causing fires, the state blames pge, takes huge amounts of resources from them - resources that could have gone to fixing the problem, leaving pge the only recourse of shutting down the distribution facilities, denying power to millions of consumers. and yet the state continues to blame pge. am I getting this right?

Solution : Self Sustainable renewable energy without a power grid, everyone who wants electric in CA must generate it themselves. Requires no power lines.

Remember Soylent (not Soy) Green 1973 when they had to pedel a generator to keep the refrigerator running?

Good side effect : Keep CA’ers is good physical shape.

I hope every Californian gets the maximum misery and turmoil and pain, that they all so eagerly, blindly voted for. I could less about and for any of them fools, buffoons and idiots. You are getting just what you voted for....and I can assure you all, if you continue with your chosen Democrat Party scum & vermin leadership you will suffer even more.

Yes...young Virginia...there really is a “Santa Claus”...but, sadly there are no more “California Girls” to admire, only needles, drugs, feces, drunks, druggies and homeless souls on the California sidewalks, fires in the hills and valleys and, no electrical power, or cell phone transmission....thanks to your Democrat Party, low life!!! You truly got just what and who you voted for!!! No...I do not feel your pain...not one iota...sorry!!! Case Closed!!!

actually clearing of brush is managed pretty stringently here in L A . our problems - building in canyons, dry weather conditions, high winds - should not be confused with the PG&E situation up north. perhaps the powers that be can speak to why they denied PG&E rate increase a few years back, $ intended for maintenance, while pushing them to go more into solar etc. the green investments did not keep the lights on.

Who would elect a.mayor who declares a fire an act of god so now your homeowners insurance won’t pay for your burnt house?

{{{sniff-sniff}}}

LeBron James had to drive around with his family for 15 minutes, while looking for a hotel that would take them in.....these fires are also very inconvenient. I feel so bad for him.

Nah, if he hated it He would have it drop it fa into the ocean. I think it’s more likely it’s a wake up call. All those “woke” people need to wake up.

Here in Appalachia the old timers scoff at the new comers when they build their homes next to that little babbling brook.. Because of the hills and mountains sooner or later that little stream becomes a raging torrent and all is lost..

I think God made most of California to burn every couple of years.. I've read somewhere that some of the trees in that area don't drop their seed until the fires come..
If you build your house in the furnace don't be surprised if it gets burnt...

At’s amazing how you can force a company in insolvency with nothing more than mandates and regulation.
California alone is responsible for this mess.

The planting of non-native eucalyptus trees, shake roofs and refusal to remove dead trees is a sizable part of the problem.
Eucalyptus oil in the trees is highly flammable
