Pollak: 5 Problems with the Democrats’ Impeachment Inquiry Resolution
Brietbart ^ | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 10/30/2019 5:54:05 AM PDT by Tench_Coxe

1. The resolution gives authority to the House Intelligence Committee that it has never had before. Prior impeachments have been handled by the House Judiciary Committee. The new resolution directs several other committees — Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, Oversight, and Ways and Means — to continue ongoing inquiries as impeachment inquiries, creating a giant net encompassing everything from Trump’s tax returns to his private businesses. Moreover, the resolution seems unclear about whether the Intelligence committee an continue with secret hearings — a power that Rep. Adam Shciff (D-CA) has arguably abused thus far to disseminate pro-impeachment propaganda. (The text says that the chair shall conduct “an open hearing or hearings,” which lends itself to multiple interpretations.)

I just posted the first item Pollak lists. I'm past the point of letting this get my blood pressure up.

It's obvious this whole charade is criminal and totalitarian, and US military fought against it overseas only to have it manifest in our own government.
If the jerks want to go there, then go there, with everything else implied by that. It needs to end now.

“It needs to end now.”

It will NOT end until at least some of our domestic enemies begin facing justice for their crimes against America.

Also remember that their god the Fraud taught them to keep doubling down, and “get in their faces”.

No matter what the outcome of this farce, the phones in DC should be ringing off the hook demanding term limits for Congress-critters. POTUS should be using this as a campaign message. If they can do this to him, they can do this to anyone with impunity.

Until the critters in Congress understand they work for THE PEOPLE, we are going to have terminal gridlock.

“Pelosi will soon consider impeachment “deemed” passed.”

I think Big Media will deem it so first, as most of us understand that this “resolution” grants Republicans only the “right” to answer to Schitthead.

Are there no constitutional lawyers on this that can take it to court somehow? Can the Senate take a vote to not accept anything that comes from this farce and force the Democrats to go back to working within within previously accepted parameters. Can the Republicans grow a set?

All I can think about when I hear this garbage is the Monty Python lSpanish Inquisition” skits. This is really getting pathetic.

Not to mention, if the Democrats walk away from what they’ve put this Country through, the things they’ll do in the future will make all of this look like a mere squabble.

I would like to see the Republicans in the House walk out as a group and let the Dem’s do whatever they want. It will be then obviously illegitimate.

They should stay out until they are given fair treatment. The minority has never been treated this badly in the House.

What a shame.

In short, the demwits are doing scorched earth — have been for many months now. They either forget that they are scorching the earth they will have to live on in the future, or they don’t care (because the cause of resisting DJT is even more important than America to them). It looks very much like a civil war or revolution. It’s too bad the (R’s) have thus far refused to engage. Maybe they hope it’ll go away. It won’t.

Back home, the demwit state party orgs are going to have to assess: “Are we willing to try to convince our states that scorching the earth of America is good for the people of our state? Because the demwits in DC are apparently going to make us wear THEIR rebellion here at home.”

I was thinking about the same thing.

Don’t vote on anything

Don’t show up to the kangaroo court

Don’t talk to the media

Ignore it

Until you understand that they do not work for us, you will continue to be disappointed, I fear.

A la Mel Brooks:
"The Inquisition (what a show!)
The Inquisition (here we go!)
We know you're wishin' that we would go away;
But the Inquisition is here
And it's here to stay!"

Once again, the Democrats are miles ahead.

Their position is: “Trump put pressure on the government of Ukraine to turn over evidence against the Biden family AND his doing so merits removal from office”.

Our position(s) are: “The process is unfair, no he didn’t do it, democrats suck...”

The truth is, he did do it, he was well within the scope of his authority to do it, and removing him from office for exercising his office is totalitarian and will change the structure of our system forever.

IF the GOP defense (such as it is) is “He didn’t do it but if he did, yes, you’re right, he has to go” then Mike Pence will be President by Christmas.

Look. Trump is charged by the Constitution to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed”. The evidence of bribery and corruption against the Bidens is massive. Joe Biden is on YouTube bragging about it, for heaven’s sake.

The Justice Department is riddled with corrupt and partisan officials, and a delegated process to get the evidence to put both Bidens away through regular channels is not available to the President, in order that he may carry out his duty specified above.

Prosecutors ALWAYS bargain with witnesses and criminals’ associates to get evidence. Prosecutors routinely give something to get something. This is not illegal, it’s standard operating procedure.

Once you even APPEAR to accept the Democrat linkage of A) He did this :: B) He deserves removal, they win. You surrender the most potent, truthful defense available to the President. It is in fact the ONLY defense he has available to him.

It is: “You’re goddam right I ordered the Code Red!”.

Now, I don’t know if this defense is going to work. The Republican Senators, many of them, are up to their necks in corruption in both the Middle East and the Ukraine, and I don’t doubt Flake’s assertion that, if there were a secret ballot, there would be 35 GOP votes for removal.

But, at the end of the day, this IS a coup and an attempt to prevent the Office of the President from ever getting control of the bureaucracy or the Congress.

Fight it with the truth, not with pissing and moaning about how unfair it is.

OF COURSE Trump put pressure on Ukraine to give up the Bidens. That’s his f***ing job. He was right to do so, it was well within the scope of his authority, and if you can’t defend that, you’re as bad as Adam Schiff.

They should just walk out altogether. Schiff has just instructed the “witnesses” to not answer any question put by the GOP member and I think they need to call attention to this.

If all the republicans walked out there would no longer be enough for a quorum.
