WASHINGTON (AP) Defying White House orders, an Army officer serving with President Donald Trumps National Security Council testified to impeachment investigators Tuesday that he twice raised concerns over the administrations push to have Ukraine investigate Democrats and Joe Biden.
Alexander Vindman, a lieutenant colonel who served in Iraq and later as a diplomat, is the first official to testify who actually heard Trumps July 25 call with new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. He reported his concerns to the NSCs lead counsel, he said in his prepared remarks.
His arrival in military blue, with medals , created a striking image at the Capitol as the impeachment inquiry reached deeper into the White House.
I was concerned by the call, Vindman said, according to his testimony obtained by The Associated Press. I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. governments support of Ukraine.
Vindman, a 20-year military officer, added to the mounting evidence from other witnesses -- diplomats, defense and former administration officials -- who are corroborating the initial whistleblowers complaint against Trump and providing new details ahead of a House vote in the impeachment inquiry.

I agree...talking about Biden...so what.
It’s not a verbatim transcript.(as footnoted on page 1 of the transcript)
The Col. was on the call, so I wonder what the Col. can add as an ear witness that might be different or not included in the transcript ??
otherwise, the “witness” is a... concern troll ?? Rock solid right there.
Potential Art 92, violation of a lawful order, but I havent researched whether directing someone to ignore a subpoena issued by an ad hoc committee is a lawful order.
He had NO contact with Trump..which basically means he has an opinion like everyone else in the commie media..how about interviewing homeless people who live near the White House hey they have opinions too~!
Plus he is on the side advising the Ukraine how to undermine US policy. Moreover he is not the president. If he disagrees with the policy he should resign
1) I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen,
2)and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. governments support of Ukraine.
IMO when Trump is sworn in for the next 4 years he should demand the resignation of every Federal employee above the military grade of O5 and the civilian equivalent. Then each department head should rehire only the people that have proven their loyalty to the administration. Every attorney in the justice department so we can start over. If we wind up cutting some expenses at the same time, great.
This morning, Democrat c--- Nicolle Wallace called John Yoo, Laura Ingraham and Alan Dershowitz "chickensh*t" ON AIR when they raised questions about LTC Ukrainian TreasonBoy.
Wallace also pulled a chickensh*t move before they could answer her smear - by jumping immediately to another guest.
The Media wars are going to go hot, I think.
Only when he's committing sedition against a duly-elected President.
Somebody should ask the good Colonel how he feels about the broken mil surplus garbage the kenyan sent to Ukraine as Russian rockets rained on their cities and the latest model Russian tanks rumbled through their countryside.
Good point...Call him back ask him that. Let’s not forget the pervs are running the show and in control. Get him on a talkie and ask him that
So he testified that he didnt like the call which weve all read. Big deal. You impeach because you didnt like a phone call? Good Lord.
THE TRANSCRIPT WAS RELEASED...THESE WHISTLE- BLOWERS ARE IRRELEVANT!
Why are all these traitors working in the Trump White House almost three years into his term?
There, I said it!
I am waiting to see the list of all the other times the colonel filed a complaint about he United States government asking another government to investigate a US citizen. There are thousands of examples, from mundane drug investigations to the extensive investigations of financial and tax violations, to terrorism investigations where the US government asks other governments to investigate US citizens.
I suspect that the colonel only complained since investigating Biden's corruption would expose the corruption which fuels Washington.
He is ONE of nearly 9000 Lt. Colonels in the Army.
NOTHING Special Never Trumper.
Concerned, a word used repeatedly by those who have nothing of substance to offer.
This Ukrainian Lt Col is both perfidious and ignorant; it should concern everyone that this is the caliber of “experts” we now have as NSC staff. Does this goof know that the US and Ukraine are mutually bound by a treaty requiring assistance with corruption cases? Why would it be so “concerning” for Trump to call in assistance under that treaty? Does he think the US should hand out tax money to HIS country without requiring it to clean up rampant corruption there? Why would we let a Ukrainian, even a naturalized citizen, have any say in such matters?
That the Dems would consider this guy’s testimony anything but an embarrassment tells us they have absolutely nothing on Trump, and an agenda to hide the truth of Democrat corruption.
Well then. He clearly states his motives.
He's an immigrant from the USSR, and was looking out for his homeland (Ukraine) that he hasn't live in since age three. He says in a roundabout way that he's a a globalist and was worried that the investigation would cost his homeland bipartisan support.
Was he asked if he thought it was proper when Obummer did it?
