I’ve always said - Pelosi is evil and corrupt.
But not stupid.
She has been a House Rat for many many years. She knows what will and will not happen.
The bigger issue is that vulnerable democrats don't want to be on the record.
This is what is going to happen..in a few months Schiff will come out, say that President Trump is guilty as sin, but since its an election year he will let the voters decide..that way this whole impeachment BS hurts Trump and the Dems can say “See he lost fair and square”

Hoyer, one of the last Dems with his finger on the pulse of what remains of the moderate wing of that party, has gotten an absolute arse-ripping from his people in purple districts warning him that such a vote will end all of their careers.

Translation: No reason for the House Dems to hold the impeachment vote just yet because the do-nothing GOP Senate continues to green light their gaslighting beltway theater in the House.
I expect around New Years the Dems will vote on impeachment authorization and actual impeachment on the same day. Ram the coupist impeachment garbage straight through the House and send it on to the Senate.
Translation, the took a poll on this non impeachment impeachment vote they thought they could pass and get away with playing semantics, and realized no matter what they called it the public would view it as an impeachment vote and democrats in Trump districts will never vote for it.
There’s a risk there though.
Unless they can figure a way to make the process look legitimate it risks them looking exactly like what Trump has branded them: “Do Nothing Democrats”
