President Trump tore into Chicago’s top cop on Monday at a law enforcement conference in the city, blasting Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson for soaring violent crime rates and accusing him of putting "criminals and illegal aliens" before Windy City residents.
The series of broadsides from the commander-in-chief came after Johnson boycotted the president’s speech at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Chicago. Trump went after Johnson at length -- going so far as to suggest he should be replaced while describing the city as more dangerous than Afghanistan -- before diving into his prepared remarks.
Chicago is a "sanctuary city" where local authorities do not cooperate with federal immigration officials, denying information that would help them deport people living in the U.S. illegally. Proponents say Chicago's efforts encourage cooperation between local police and immigrant communities.
Trump, who has long been a critic of Chicago’s policies dating back to former Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s time in office, was in the city to, among other things, sign an executive order establishing the Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice. But he repeatedly slammed Johnson for the city’s rampant gun violence, while saying rank-and-file officers deserve a leader who has their backs and "who sides with you."

A quick google search reveals why the top cop is part of the problem, and not of the solution. He fits in very well with the administration of Chicago which has absolutely no desire to get the inner city Blacks to stop killing each other, but instead uses the carnage to gain sympathy and MONEY for the corrupt administration.

I picture the police chief (Peter Aylward?) in Untouchables looking out the window at the slain cop and knowing that standing down for it was a “necessary” part of his job.

"Chicago police Superintendent Eddie Johnson admitted to Mayor Lori Lightfoot that he had “a couple of drinks” Wednesday night before he fell asleep in his car after pulling over when he felt ill, the mayor told the Chicago Sun-Times on Friday.
The new detail came a day after Johnson went public about the incident and called for an investigation on himself by the department’s Bureau of Internal Affairs.
In remarks to reporters Thursday night, Johnson blamed the incident on his failure to take his blood pressure medication.
You aren't the only cop working in 009 - we passed through a time or two and know lots of people there. People we trust way more than you. And they state unequivocally that Special Ed was toasty....to say the least. Did Special Ed have a gun on him? There would seem to be a Rule violation there to say the least.
By the way, how big of an asshole do you have to be to get a kidney from your own son (placing his future health in a precarious state), then jeopardize the transplanted organ's continued function by mixing drinks with medication?

Locking up the people who illegally possess firearms would be a pretty good start. Sadly in Chicago even repeat offenders are routinely released on ridiculously low bail amounts.

They know if they really fought crime they’d be labeled as racists and fired from the force, and sued by the community.
Or if they allowed good citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights.
