Democrats Cheer After Successfully Shutting Down Proposed Meat Packing Plant in Struggling Milwaukee Area

The Strauss facility was expected to receive about 500 live cows daily to be butchered and packaged. The company had plans to move about 150 Strauss jobs to Milwaukee from Franklin, and house up to 500 workers long term. The jobs would pay $14 to $17 an hour.
Under the HQ proposal, the city of Milwaukee would have sold the land in Century City to Strauss for $1, and provide a $4.5 million grant.
In a recent statement, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said he intended to keep pushing the project.
“I will continue to fight for family-supporting jobs at Century City,” he said. “I will not stop my efforts to attract businesses and provide opportunities where jobs are needed most.”
The chief lobbyist for Milwaukee’s largest business group tweeted that the unraveling of the Strauss deal “sends a horrible message to any business looking to locate in the city in general and Century City in particular.”
It seem that the only thing that democrats can create these days is more Trump voters. Their policies are so noticeably damaging to the country, even the people that fall for the Nigerian Prince scam can see it.
So AOC acolytes everywhere must be rejoicing over this rejection of employment opportunities for the locals.
The Left opposes freedom of choice and prosperity.
Fine, let the Stalinists continue turning their cities into destitute third-world Hellholes. They can enjoy defecating on their impoverished streets.
Investment can then improve lives in places where people wish to improve the economies of their community.

Similar problem in a area west of depressed Rockford, IL a few years ago. The lefties complained that these were “low-paying” jobs, and the NIMBYs were concerned about smells and traffic.
Amazon was going to hire 25000 people in Queens. The liberals blocked it. It’s a Marxist ploy. This isn’t new.
FWIW, Franklin is about 100 miles west of Minneapolis.

Democrats’ views of black people have not changed one iota since the day the party was founded. They still believe that they own black people, that blacks are their property. And blacks who work and become self-sufficient and get off their demeaning social programs are stolen property.
There are different ways to enslave a man. One is to work him without pay. Another is to pay him without work. Democrats used to do it the first way until we banned it, so now they do it the second way. And then they have the unmitigated gall to call it compassion.
I wish they would stop pretending to care about other people. They don’t, never have, and the pretense is offensive. Fake, phony frauds.
The best brats ever came from Milwaukee.
