President Trump plans to hit the gas on his already aggressive immigration agenda next year, according to senior aides.
Topping his list will be the construction of one mile a day of new border wall, aggressive challenges to judicial hurdles, and a new merit-based green card for foreign workers.
“The next year is all about execution. We have a path to complete success on the southern border, the key now is rigorous implementation,” said Trump’s policy chief Stephen Miller.
“We are going to dial that up to the maximum,” he added of the administration’s pressure stop illegal immigration and boost the vetting of those coming to America.
The officials outlined plans to build off the key successes this year, such as getting Latin American countries to provide asylum to immigrants that in the past have headed for the United States, appealing lower court challenges to policy changes, and issuing executive orders to keep immigrants off welfare.
Miller said, “This president has accomplished more on immigration than every other president combined.” He added, “For the first time ever we are combating forum shopping and asylum fraud, we are achieving bilateral cooperation asylum agreements, we are requiring state and local consent before refugees are settled in local communities, we are doing social media vetting.
“Things that once seemed impossible are now just everyday achievements.”

It’s a battle. One side wants Whitey to work himself to death to pay his last cent to others. That side will bring in millions of individuals who have no intention of working, and who will be supported by Whitey, and in return will vote democrat.
The other side wants to be left alone by the government.
As I thought, after the election it’s gonna be no holds barred and make the next admin will have a hard time making changes..
Immigration (legal immigration) is actually a very good thing. The U.S. should bring in all the engineers, scientists, physicians, etc., that we possibly can (I do think we have enough lawyers already though).
In fact, we should bring in any skilled worker and craftsman that wants to come here and earn a living (and pay taxes) and we should encourage them to be fruitful and multiply once they get here.
What we DON'T want is the dregs of society pouring over our borders in search of welfare and other handouts and being nothing but a drain on our resources. Typically these are the ones that don't come in legally because WE DON'T WANT THEM and would not allow them to come in legally.

Except culture matters and far too many of the tech qualified from abroad right now are leftists. We arguably would do well with a complete moratorium on immigration until we get assimilated or expelled those here currently.
WE don't make that "mistake."

That’s why those 150 (and counting) fed judges that are being appointed by Graham and McConnell
(yeah, I know a lot of people here hate these 2 but they are mainly responsible so credit to them)
are seated so the next Dummy president will have a hard time getting their lefty programs running..

I also think he should double down on foreign trade with enemies. Chinese stuff is garbage, made by slave labor (although they may have prettied it up for TV), and we shouldn’t be buying it.
China is our big enemy. The Muslims are always enemies but they’re scattered, and they’re also enemies to China and Russia, even if Russia is trying to curry favor with them (as we have tried to do). However, some states in Muslim territories could be economically persuaded to help us or Russia, which is actually hated by the left not because it’s Communist but because it turned capitalist.
That said, private property is the key to freedom, because this means you have property over your own life and being. Look up “School of Salamanca,” if you’re historically and economical theory inclined.

We don’t need 1.2 million Indians, Afghanis, Somalis, Bumfu*kistanies every year. Thanks. Everyone wants to virtue signal about ‘doing it the right way’, ‘we need their skills’. What skills? I generally agree with your take on this, but after the last 30 years of flooding this nation with “refugees” from terrorist nations, and a lot of other places too, I’m fresh out of “Welcome Mat Cleaner”.
We need a good 30 to 40 years of assimilation before we get back to allowing new immigration.
We have large areas of our nation that are essentially foreign territory today. Look at how that is effecting our elected officials in Congress.
We either tighten our belt and limit immigration, or just forget about getting back to a reasoned normalcy here in the U. S.

samadams, it is only a good thing for employers who pay too little in wages for their H-1B slaves and when the slaves get government welfare we citizens the pay for our replacement.
I say we need a moratorium on all immigration for at least two decades until we can make the immigrants already here into cultural Americans. The US needs to educate its own children instead of letting leftist indoctrination centers turn out vapid, mouth-breathing, idiots. Our American families have the right to expect good prospects for their children over foreigners.
He should start by removing the H1B and H4EAD trash from this country. And the Indian and Communist Chinese students from our universities. American jobs for Americans. American universities for Americans.

Of course it always helps to major in engineering, science or medicine instead of say, gender studies or black history.
