If McCabe tried to make a deal he would have been Epsteined.

I want to see Brennan, Clapper and Obama perp-walked into the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse for arraignment! I’d buy that on pay-per-view!

He probably figured the plea deal wouldn’t or couldn’t protect him and his family (if he has any). Even witsec probably wouldn’t help in the face of a Clinton-esque “suicide” or Epstein level incarceration. Probably figures alive in prison beats dead on the street.

As I understand it, that’s Barr’s cover-up special. Tiny little, digestible sentences for key players as an excuse to stash loads of evidence away forever.

Yes, mobsters are probably more realistic. Look at some of the folks who refused to plead in the college entrance scams. They knew they had done it - which means “guilty” to most mortals - but they thought they were special and justified in doing it, somehow. And now they’re looking at federal time.

...(although it may ultimately be shown to be as clumsy as the Keystone Cops)...

It does look like a bit of a deep state gene pool collapse.

Perhaps he hadn’t heard yet that James Baker had been flipped. I would assume that Baker knows where all of the skeletons are kept so the number of get out of jail cards Durham is willing to hand out just got substantially fewer.

What I don’t understand is why Comey wasn’t arrested RIGHT THEN AND THERE when he was testifying before congress and admitted he leaked a memo to his friend, in order to generate the call for a special prosecutor.

There are exceptions but they are just that exceptions. The real question is which of these a-holes will get cover and which ones will be left to fend for themselves. To many involved to have them all get off scot free. McCabe is not independently wealthy and cannot afford $1 million in legal fees(according to the net).

Exceptions? Greg Craig is the only prominent Democrat I am aware of the “Trump” DOJ has prosecuted. He counted on judge nullification and he got it.

Didn’t a grand jury already fail to hand up an indictment on McCabe?

“McCabe can pay Flynn type legal fees. Make my day.”

He’s going to have trouble dealing with his own legal fees.
What a lovely Friday.

"McCabe is hoping for the Deep State to come to his rescue..."

Or he's making sure he doesn't end up taking a dirty nap in Fort Marcy Park by making a plea deal.

McCabe is a Clinton acolyte.

What do you think his preference would be...a prison sentence, or suicide by three shots to the head?

I think Charges against Flynn should be dropped and he should be made financially whole. The Justice Dept should reemburse him for all money spent including savings, investments, house, etc. plus, several million for pain and suffering.
