We are returning to the era of castration to produce eunuchs and men who could sing as boys. Castration was a prerequisite for entering imperial service in the Ming Dynasty, where at one time, 70,000 eunuchs were employed to serve the emperor in the mid-17th Century.
The Catholic Church castrated boys before puberty to create an unusual high-pitched singing voice broadly comparable to that of a soprano, mezzo-soprano, or contralto, when women were banned from singing in choirs. This practice began in the 1550s and continued to 1903 when Pope Pius X pronounced an official end to the practice.
The sterilization of boys and men is a part of the extensive catalogue of cruelty that humans have inflicted on others. It included not only the severance of the testicles, but also the penis as well. It was a severely painful procedure of extraordinary cruelty and horror. The consequence to the victim was indescribable not only because it denied the ability to reproduce but also the psychological damage impossible to imagine. It was treating human beings as livestock and animals to be used as pets.
Kinda like what recently happened in Brazil, where two lesbians castrated, then later killed, a boy in their custody.
When I was seven, I thought that girls had cooties and were yucky. One time, my enemy, the girl I had to sit next to in class forgot to wear panties, and I got a good look at her pooter, but was not in the least titillated, though interested so long as I could look without getting caught. I just had one more reason to despise her, in my view. Later, I discovered how utterly wonderful girls are, but I never ever wanted to become one. Kid, you’ll get cooties and be yucky, and boys will want to see your fake pooter.
I have always said, if faced with a criminal trial, I'll demand a judge if innocent and a jury trial if guilty.
Maybe that judge could accidentally neutered.

We should be looking very closely at our “treasured” jury system, when eleven people can make this decision.

I’d like a law banning hormone treatments and mutilation of minors. If that is not politically possible, require BOTH parents to give consent before such things can be done.
There are times when the law is no longer on your side but you still have to do the right thing. As a father, I hope this man will do the right thing for his son (in a manner that will not put the father in prison, of course).

Thank God for this outcry, and that the Republican governor is having the state AG look into this horrible abuse by a judge against the child and father.
The boy is not around his father, he’s only around his mother, and so he’s having trouble recognizing his masculinity as he can’t detach successfully from his mother. It’s so freaking obvious what the causes of gender dysphoria are most of the time: Family/bonding problems or abuse.
I know King Solomon said “There’s nothing new under the sun...”
But this is on a level of depravity one would be hard pressed to find even in the ancient world.
