2020 Democrats criticize Trump invoking lynching: 'Stain on this nation's history'

Multiple Democratic presidential candidates attacked President Trump on Tuesday for his comparison of the impeachment inquiry to lynching, which they called a "stain on this nation’s history."

The president tweeted earlier Tuesday that Republicans should acknowledge they are “witnessing” a “lynching” with the House's impeachment process, racially fraught language that drew prompt criticism from Democrats and some Republicans.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) called lynching a "reprehensible stain on this nation’s history," adding that Trump constituted another.

“We’ll never erase the pain and trauma of lynching, and to invoke that torture to whitewash your own corruption is disgraceful,” Harris tweeted.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) also slammed Trump for his tweet, telling the president to “Try again.”

Sorry but this was a poorly chosen word by POTUS. The word lynching is/has been racially loaded for decades.

At least they agree that people should get due process and not railroaded. Or do they think this only applies to urban felons?

Lynch

/lin(t)SH/

verb

(of a mob) kill (someone), especially by hanging, for an alleged offense with or without a legal trial.

What offensive about that? Except for the hanging part, the rest of it certainly applies to what the Treason party is doing to Trump and what they did with him already with regards to the Russia collusion hoax.

What would be a better word or phrase for President Trump to use? Crucifixion? Death by a thousand cuts? Both of these would be accurate.

Trump is no Hamlet.

Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them.

Whereas Hamlet and previous Republicans acquiesced without protest, Trump has taken arms against this sea of troubles, and has opposed them, as the only way to end them.

The LEFTISTS/FASCISTS of the “modern” DIMocRATS Party are “a stain on” the USA.

That’s why they are now popularly called: The LOSER Party.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) called lynching a "reprehensible stain on this nation’s history," adding that Trump constituted another.

Everything is a 'stain on this nations history'.

If Trump says or does anything, it is a stain on our history.

The Outrage Industry is ramping up again.

Next time, President Trump should add "high-tech" in front of it.

I use the word all the time to apply to anyone who is unjustly accused of a crime by a mob without evidence and has their life, metaphorically, destroyed.

No one is going to tell me what words I can or can not use.

I will not cede my right to use any word because someone believes they have exclusive ownership.

You are having you speech controlled and limited by the Left. Trump isn’t.

Who the f’ are the Leftist ms to demand “you can’t say this”? Why would you give them power? When they know they can control you, you turn into Pierre Delecto.

I remember reading about a young German man who was lynched by a mob in Collinsville, Illinois, during World War I. What happened to white horse thieves and other criminals in the old West when people decided to take the law into their own hands?
