Unusual weather patterns in the upper atmosphere over Antarctica have caused a drastic reduction in ozone depletion, leaving the ozone with the smallest hole seen since its discovery in 1982, according to NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The government agencies said that the hole had shrunk to 3.9 million square miles for the remainder of September and October, according to satellite data. The peak in the hole was 6.3 million square miles, observed on Sept. 8. During normal weather conditions, the hole is usually around 8 million square miles during this time of year.

One thing to keep in mind with this silly headline is that our ‘records’ of such things do not go back very far at all. When we got around to launching satellites that could even measure it, it was the late 70s or early 80s. When they did, the econuts started screaming about an ‘ozone hole’ (which wasn’t even an actual hole, more of a thinning of ozone than anything else). They demanded the elimination of CFCs, to “fix” this, (much to the delight of Dow Chemical, whos patent on the CFCs in question were expiring) despite the fact that they had no idea if this was a normal part of way the atmosphere has acted since the planet came into existence or not. The ‘ozone hole’ has always been a fraudulent evironut screaming point since its inception.

Is there a physiological explanation for this constant fear, and the absolute need to keep the public panicked, or is it just Leftism 101? Just watch the Winnie the Pooh movie "Tigger and the Jagular"...that's all you need to know.

Be careful what you ask for!!
I survived the Great Polar Vortex of 2019 when the temp was -27 and the wind chill was -74 earlier this year.
I live in the far Southwest Suburbs of Shitcago. Those are NOT normal temp's for us. I woke up to a house that was down to 50 degrees and a furnace that decided to quit in the middle of all of that.
It was NOT fun. I'll happily trade you scenario's.

Our hottest day of the year was in mid-JUNE, when it got to 88*. There was still a Degree Day of 1.71C for the 24 hour period.
Most summer days have a negative DD. It’s been a COLD summer on the west coast.

I'm about 25 miles southwest of Shitcago and I'll tell you that the experience here was the same. We didn't get anywhere near the number of above 88 degree days that we'd normally get we had a very wet spring going into a cooler and wetter summer at the beginning of the season than I think we've ever had.
Someone else here on FR pointed it out, we're not going through climate change we're going through seasonal shift.
The past few winter's here seemingly started later than normal and ended later than normal too. It sure does feel like seasonal shift to me anyway.
