Male personnel in the Royal New Zealand Navy will soon be allowed to wear makeup, false eyelashes and nail polish according to new gender-neutral guidelines.
The updates, that will come into effect next month, are intended to demonstrate that the RNZN make no distinction between male and female members in terms of appearance.
Chief of Navy Rear Admiral David Proctor told Newshub: The NZDF can confirm that as of November 1, 2019, guidelines around grooming and appearance for Royal New Zealand Navy personnel will be updated.
These updates are to reflect that the RNZN make no distinction between male and female members in terms of their personal grooming and appearance.
The changes will allow male Navy personnel to wear fake eyelashes, discreet makeup and clear or pale nail varnish when in uniform. Long hair will also be permitted, provided its worn in a bun or single plait.
Proctor went on to claim the success of the RNZN depends on such diverse and inclusive changes.
These changes reflect that diversity and inclusion are critical to our success as an organisation, as are the unique traditions and characteristics of the RNZN.
It is NZ, but I have faith our “Rear Admirals” will fully get “behind” this and push it.
And America must ultimately defend New Zealand exactly why?
Royal New Zealand Navy:
Size Personnel:
2,050 Regular
392 Reserve
108 civilian staff
So this will affect one sailor?
Monty Python’s portrayal of the armed forces was off by a mere 50 years or so.
This is going to turn out like the time a guy in my unit decided to wear a “do rag” while out in the field. Except he wasn’t black.
Many (not all) of the brothers got sooooo offended. They thought he was making fun of them - which he was. Seems that shortly thereafter it became battalion policy to require a medical waiver to wear that non-uniform item.
No clue how this isn’t a safety hazard. Main reason we couldn’t have a beard in the Navy was due to the inability to get a good seal on a firefighting or gas mask.
Jewelry was related to increase risk of injury.
How the hell are fake eyelashes not an eye injury waiting to happen and what in the world does any of this have to do with combat effectiveness?
“It would appear that the Navy strives to be first in dropping any standard offensive to a (ptui-ptui) progressive.”
Typed too fast, should read “their Navy”, not “the Navy”.
But, sadly, methinks our Navy will not be too far behind if we are foolish enough to elect a cretin (e.g. Democrat) in 2020.
If New Zealand was our ally that would be unsettling. But they’re not so we’ll let the People’s Liberation Navy take note.
It’s New Zealand so 1/4th are into sheep and the sheep don’t care how you look. A 1/4th are into women. 1/4th are pitchers and are the men in Navy relationships. By science and method of elimination it affects the 1/4th that are catchers.

What. The. F??
Windward Passage?
It’s because nobody fights back. Why are they putting up with this?
China is going to enjoy sinking the New Zealand navy.
They will be able to tell their people they are saving their country from decadent perverts.
Rome was much worse, since over the course of time they put lower and lower percentage of silver into their coinage, thus making their currency worthless.
Oh, wait... we're doing that too. Never-mind.
In other news, Anchors Aweigh will be replaced by In the Navy.
Among misogynist, scapegoating, predatory societies, especially Middle Eastern ones where pedophilia and pederasty are accepted, allowing men to wear fake eyelashes, make-up, etc. will not be seen as progress and enlightenment.. No, it will be seen as a massive neon sign signaling the disintegration of a once great nation where men were men and women were women. The emasculation of men will lead to more contempt, disgust, derision and terror, not less.
When nothing is required, then anything goes. So sorry for NZ. Prayers that our Navy never gets THIS RIDICULOUS.
