Boris to be forced to beg for delay after Tory rebel Letwin sinks Brexit deal

BORIS Johnson will write to the EU to ask for another Brexit delay TONIGHT after Tory rebel Sir Oliver Letwin trashed his chance to make history today.

In a day of high-drama in the House of Commons, MPs voted for the Tory rebel’s wrecking amendment by 322 to 306, and torpedoed Boris' plans to pass a deal.

Super Saturday turned into Pointless Saturday after the Tory rebel sabotaged Boris' Brexit bid with Parliamentary antics.

Instead the PM must now ask the EU for a THIRD time to delay Britain's departure from the EU.

Boris had hoped that MPs would have finally backed a Brexit deal three YEARS after the public voted to leave, but instead they opted for yet more dither and delay.

The Government decided to cancel the main Brexit vote after the plot won the day - prompting disgusted Tory MPs to walk out of the chamber in dramatic scenes.

The Remainer plan will kick Boris' big Brexit vote into the long grass for another day until ALL the legislation to get us out of the EU is done.

This utterly destroys my prediction that 100% the UK would leave on 31 October.

It's not completely zero, there is a chance, but I was so sure it was 100%

Dang, the twists and turns in Brexit are more than the soap opera Dallas

A delay is pointless. We are too far gone to revoke Brexit in any way.

Ah well, this will mean more uncertainty for businesses in the UK

Brexit is never going to happen short of violence in the streets at this point. The Bureaucrat gang will keep it in limbo forever.

Don’t ask, just do it! A 100 years ago your country controlled the globe. Now the UK has all the power of Rhode Island.

I suggest a letter saying, “We want the EU to pay the UK to leave. Please delay our exit so we can negotiate on the size of your payment. Sincerely, Boris”

There can be no perfect deal. Germany/EU doesn’t want to lose control of U.K. and so won’t offer one. Either U.K. decides to reclaim its independence or it’s all over with, finished, kaput

We don’t know if it will happen or won’t. Nothing is certain or clear wrt Brexit.

You could even see a move asking for the UK to be conquered by Switzerland or Swaziland.

If the EU turns down the extension request, UK still leaves without a deal.

Parliament doesn’t have the power to force a sovereign entity like the EU to grant a delay.

During a divorce, both sides must agree to any change in the process.

The answer given will be “Why didn’t you bring that to the negotiating table earlier?”

They have 1000 years of governing history, forged through the deaths of untold numbers of people, and by several events that risked the entire nation to move the needle forward, AND THIS is what it grinds down on? One twap with a worthless aristocratic title and no frigging shame.

One of those times you wish for a Edward I, Cromwell, Charles II or a Henry VIII.

Looks like Parliament is comparable to our House.

I'm sure Obama is gloating over this.
