A group of House Republicans introduced legislation Friday to reduce foreign interference in U.S. elections, including by making online political ads more transparent.

The Honest Elections Act would expand the prohibition on foreign nationals contributing to campaigns to include state and local initiatives and referendums.
It would also codify existing Federal Election Commission guidance to require that all online political advertisements include a disclosure of who paid for them, such as with a click-through option, where the individual could click to a second page for information on who purchased the ad.
The bill would also prohibit any federal dollars for election security to go to states that allow non-citizens to vote in elections, and would require states to forfeit all federal election security grants unless they ban ballot harvesting, which allows mail-in ballots to be collected without a verification system to determine who was in possession of the ballots.
Ballot harvesting is already illegal in many states. The law would allow family members or caretakers to collect ballots.

What are they going to do about foreign nationals VOTING in our elections?
I'd be satisfied if they eliminated Democrat interference in our elections.
The gang who couldn’t shoot straight.
The only REAL election security measure we need is to keep Democrats away from counting and manipulating the votes. If there is foreign interference in our elections it was done with Democrat collusion and approval!
“The Honest Elections Act”
Hmm, like the “Affordable” Care Act?
I’m more interested in the aspirations and intentions of these:
Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), co-sponsors Reps. Mario Diaz Balart (Fla.), Don Bacon (Neb.), Jaime Herrera Beutler (Wash.), Bill Posey (Fla.), Peter King (N.Y.), Mark Walker (N.C.), Elise Stefanik (N.Y.), Pete Stauber (Minn.), Greg Steube (Fla.) and Puerto Rico Resident Commissioner Jennifer Gonzalez-Colon (R).
They need a yellow legal pad and a pen (not a pencil with an eraser—for security) and a list of each voter. Match this 3-5 index cards./s
Somehow the urban cemetery voters, the college students voting home and at school, and tens of millions of noncitizen welfare
recipients are voting Dem all the time.
Please see my tagline. To Dems: how is it “suppression” to demand a photo ID from each voter if they do that at the old video rental stores straight through to pharmacy counters, liquor stores,UHaul places and the DMV?
They made Voter ID Mandatory in all Federal Elections?
The bills introduction comes on the heels of a heated debate between Davis and Democratic members of the House Administration Committee over the SHIELD Act earlier this week. That legislation, which the committee approved in a 6-1 vote, required that political ads on social media platforms be subject to the same rules that those on television or radio are.
Davis (Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.)), pushed back against the SHIELD Act during the committee markup, describing it as unfixable in its current form. Davis proposed numerous amendments, most of which were voted down by the Democrat majority, including one that would have taken out the language on new online political advertisement rules.
It’s sad to need a new law to cover for existing laws not being followed.
The Dem County Recorder in Maricopa County (Phoenix metro area) and the Dem County Recorder in Pinal County (Tucson) counted ALL ballots even if the signatures didnt match the ones on record. They simply called the house and asked did you vote and if the answer was yes, they counted the ballot. Ballot harvesting in AZ where it is illegal. The Repub Governor did nothing about it.
Quit the early voting and mail in voting....and soliciting in nursing homes.
What they should be concerned about is the rampant fraud Democrats engage in every election cycle.
Yeah lets do this when you know it can’t get out of the house. Not when you had the house and could actually pass it. Even then the senates rules would not allow it to pass.
Thereby eliminating my 94 year old mom's vote.
Her body is old, her brain is still sharp.
Not ALL mail in voting...mail in with exceptions is different...like military...out of the country...
After Democrats crushed Kris Kobach it seems to have gone nowhere.
Reforms should have been in place by now. It seems a bit late for 2020.
Let’s talk MACHINE tallies.
My mother was 90....sharp as a tack. The problem is that she still equated the Dem Party as the FDR Party and that nothing has changed.
