Wasn’t there a book or movie about high level government people who used bio weapons to kill certain people because the government forced all people to get dna tested? They could kill selected people.
My brother and sister had their’s done on Ancestry. Turns out my sister is our half sister (I had mine done when my sister found out). She discovered her new family and has been in touch with them. She now knows who her bio father is. I was just contacted by a person who was identified as my first cousin (less than an hour ago). Trying to figure out the link. His paternal link is from West Virginia, and my paternal link is from eastern Ky.
I read a similar article sometime earlier this year. IIRC, is had to do with the “swimmers”. Whether they hit the objective or not, they’re gonna want to drill into something. So the male DNA does (or can) get embedded into the woman’s tissues.

DNA allowed me to just that. I jumped over a brick wall which I hadn't been able to break in 40 years of research.

2 to the 10th power is almost exactly 1000 (it’s 1024)
2 to the 20th is almost exactly a million (it’s 1,048,576)
2 to the 30th is almost exactly a billion (1,073,741,824)
etc.
20 generations is about 500 years. Population 500 years ago was around 550 million (Source:https://www.ecology.com/population-estimates-year-2050/)
Therefore a randomly selected person will have a 1 in 500 chance of having a common ancestor from 20 generations ago or less with another randomly selected person worldwide.
If you are of European descent you are almost certainly descended from Charlemagne (742 - 815). That’s 40 generations ago. The likelihood of a Pacific Islander or Aboriginal Australian or African or rural Chinese native or any of the indigenous peoples of the Americas being descended from Charlemagne is practically nil.

That’s probably 6,000 generations or more.
2 to the 6,000th power is 1.5 x 10^1086 which is 15 followed by 1085 zeros!

I clicked "yes" on both. Any Felons caught due being related to me get no tears from me.
My health screen results came back showing I was “normal” without any markers for any bad diseases. I was a bit surprised.
So far no black helicopters have been hovering over my house and I have had 3 DNA tests so far.

Corporate managers of corrupt databases are rarely held accountable. The law does NOT protect the consumer or the individual.

I felt the same way every time a psychiatrist declared me sane and normal. He obviously was missing something.

That happened to me too. Married a girl I knew way back in high school after we reconnected at a reunion. We would never have dated back then. She passed 3 years ago this past month from cancer, but we enjoyed 10 years together. It was a gift from God.
I’m 54 and met my father for the first time a year ago. I had known his name since I was about five, and it just stuck in the back of my mind.
Doing my own online research, I found out that I have three sisters. I knew I had one, but three was pretty cool. Instead of going directly to him on FaceBook, I sent each of the sisters a private message. It took about a week before I heard anything, but I finally had the oldest one send me a private message, and I called her.
I was born before he met/married their mother. Two of the three sisters are very open to me, and the third has still not made any effort to get with me. In my opinion, it’s just a matter of time.
A few things stick out to me. I look just like him, which is kind of neat, we have very similar personality traits and we have the same sense of humor. I fel like I’m watching an older me.
My dad turns out to be a great guy, and we’ve become regular fishing buddies. He’s very very good at it, and is teaching me how to bring my game up, as well. It’s regular for him and his two regular fishing buddies to catch 50-200 bass (and other fish) in four to ten hours of fishing. I’ve seen the videos and pics, so I know they are truthful about that.
I have both a 23andme and an ancestry.com account. None of them are on either one of those systems, but I’ve met a few cousins I didn’t know I had.
As far as privacy goes, that’s just the risk we all have to consider. I’ve not committed any kind of crime that’s going to get me locked up, so I feel OK with my decision.
In my opinion, finding them was one of the best things I’ve ever done. If there’s anyone looking for lost family, I suggest that you try the DNA testing avenues if it’s all you have. When you know someone is missing in your life, it just weighs you down. Even if the other person turns out to be a loser, it’s worth knowing and getting over.
A Friend was connected to the Child she gave up for Adoption when she was a Teenager. She “went away” to “School” and the only two People who knew about it were her Parents. None of her three Siblings ever knew.
Her Brother did a DNA Test and decided to do a little Detective Work when a name came up that he never heard of before. He calls his Sister (my Friend) and asks her straight out about it.
Next thing you know, the entire Family was informed and they all had a Reunion with her long lost first Son and his Family including two Grandchildren. His Adoptive Parents were thrilled.
No embarrassment, no shame, just happiness and Love. What a difference forty years makes...
