Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo says her sources are telling her an extensive report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses by the Justice Department and the FBI will be released by the end of next week.
Bartiromo, who is the first journalist to report an exact release date, discussed what she had learned on her Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, with two Republican congressmen who deduced former high-ranking government officials are bracing for a scathing critique.
"Im hearing the IG report will be out this upcoming Friday, Oct. 18, and my sources say its as thick as a telephone book," Bartiromo said, adding that it covers "more than just FISA abuse."
It has been exactly one month since Horowitz announced the completion of the investigation by his team, who pored over more than 1 million records and conducted 100-plus interviews. The inspector general gave a draft to the Justice Department and FBI for a classification review.
Upon the completion of that process, the report will first be delivered to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, who has pledged to do a "deep dive" of his own into FISA that will run concurrently with U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the early stages of the Russia investigation. The South Carolina Republican said his "No. 1 goal" is to have as much of the report declassified as possible.

How long has the buildup for this report been going on? Years.
I bet the Democrats are shaking in their boots at Lindsey Graham's promised "Senate investigation." Ohhh! Scary!
Meadows predicted Horowitz's report will be a "scathing rebuke" of the FBI based on documents he provided to the inspector general and said he sees some areas that warrant criminal referrals to Barr.
"Scathung rebuke." That'll show em!
Barr won't do anything, and the Dept of Injustice will say they can't prove intent of any crimes.
What we need are mass arrests - yesterday.
What we will get is the Washington D.C. Two Step, with Sean Hannity getting red faced, and promising us a "reckoning" for the Deep State, but nothing happening.
The corrupt media will ignore the "thick as a phone book" report, or point to little passages that seem to lead to nowhere.
Oh my, woooo! Tic toc. A bombshell.
It will come out on a Friday, we just don’t know which one.
Since nothing is going to happen, we are doomed. Matt Bracken has already indicated that we are living in the FORMER United States of America (FUSA). Prep or die.
with two Republican congressmen who deduced former high-ranking government officials are bracing for a scathing critique.
Just what America needs...a scathing critique. Is that beer or worse than a scathing rebuke?
L
That’s cool. Maybe just release the list of those being arrested.
The release is always ‘somewhere under the rainbow’, just out of reach.
Bump!
I get so tired of these build-ups only to watch it fade into the sunset by the end of the day. I’m very cynical on the future of America.
Glad to hear it is going to be released.
But the article infers that that the declassification process is still ahead of us. That makes no sense. The report was finished a month ago and we had been led to believe that time was spent in the redaction process.
So either the article is wrong or we are wrong. While I’m happy that Lindsey will get to read this “telephone book” over next weekend I would really like a peek at it myself.
“The inspector general gave a draft to the Justice Department and FBI for a classification review.”
That’s the part of the process where the report gets turned into diarrhea.
“Prep or die.”
I just bore sighted (another) red dot.
Disturbing levels of cynicism on Free Republic.
Barr is real
Meanwhile, a disgruntled partisan whistleblower, working in concert with known liars in the House of Representatives, who has already been discredited, makes a complaint 60 days ago...And the House is initating impeachment proceedings.
There oughta be a law...
Nobody is going to be arrested. Haven’t you been paying attention the last 3 years?
For the consumer, beer is always better than a rebuke, scathing or otherwise.
A report is fine. What the results of it are questionable. Washington protects Washington. Deep State is a tough force to defeat.
Yawn. This is the hundredth definitive date of the IG report release.
Friday. Thats when they release news for minimum impact
I would like a cathartic series of handguns on the commons. I may be disappointed.
Yawn. Wake me up when McCabe’s in handcuffs.
