This is another reason to not support Software As A Service. In the meantime, the GNU Image Manipulation Program is a free and open alternative to Photoshop and nobody can turn it off remotely.
Agreed
Gimp has a bit of a learning curve but it is well worth the effort.
You raise an interesting argument.
To resolve the issue, one must create realistic probabilities and then make a rational decisin.
First, are all cloud storage facilities equal? Probably not.
Second, are cloud facilities less likely to fail than your local hard drives?
I am faced with tht problem now. I have come to believe that Microsoft one drive and office 365 are safer than my own hard drives. Intuit and quickbooks are a different situation. I do not trust Intuit. They deal exclusively in their own self interest and the customer often just doesn’t matter.
I believe the best solution is very large digital storage rather than mechanical hard drive. ....... But I may be wrong

You were right. I can predict that there will be countries passing laws that prohibit software as a service being sold in their countries just because they don’t want outside influence on their domestic affairs.
