I think that's because they're willing to use violence.. And that, in it self, is a perfect example of the differences between a democracy and a Republic..
The democracy is ruled by the majority of the herd.. And the one who rules the majority of the herd is the one with the biggest gun.. A republic, on the other hand, is ruled by the word of law.. Republicans try to stay within the confines of the law..

If they intend to actually go through with an official impeachment, then the WB will HAVE to testify - because Trump, as a President going through impeachment, has the explicit right in the Constitution to confront his accusers.
No WB statute can possibly outweigh the historic right of anyone accused of committing a crime to confront their accuser(s), let alone the Constitution.
With the “WB” having worked with Biden in the Obama White House, this is looking more and more like a completely partisan set-up...not just to those of us who have been tuned in to politics, but to average folks - and THEY are the ones who will determine the results of the next election, not us political junkies on either side of the fence.
