No mention of the CPUC culpability.

They set the rates, force PG&E to buy all "clean" power produced at far above market rates (this include excess solar from millions of homes), and approved every single budget for the past 40 years.

In order to keep rates "low" to the consumer, CPUC scrimped on the maintenance budget...75% of a massive utility's costs. Or more.

When combined with a second offensive by the CalEPA to restrict clearing on their rights of way, they killed the largest public utility in America.

PG&E is facing at least $30bil in fire judgements and $100bil in maintenance backlog. Officers of the company have been threatened with criminal liability.

They ABSOLUTELY made the right decision to hit the off switch.

“No mention of the CPUC culpability.”

That’s right, all California utilities are run by CPUC, which is full of Rats and environazis.

This is not the end or the beginning, but the beginning of the end, of California. Ride the beast while it still lives. Lol.

PG&E should just say FOAD and walkaway.

Let the California communists pickup the PG&E reigns and do their thing.

THAT will show how well the Democrat / Communists actually run things.

PG&E mismanagement? How about the decades that Calif mismanaged the forests so that a million acres of dead trees were allowed to stand, which created an enormous amount of fuel?

Exactly correct.

It’s not just power lines. Maintenance deferred or just not done caused a lot of the problems at Oroville Dam in 2017. Idiots.

This is what is going to get Newsom recalled. Davis got recalled for high power bills, what are they going to do with no power for weeks?

Fine the hell out of them because they didn’t turn off the power, then fine the hell out of them because they did!

That’s the way to to do it!

we’re in the middle of wine crush and folks are running around trying to get generators right now,” he said. “It’s very consequential.”

They only notice when it affects them directly. What about other businesses? What about the hospitals... police... fire? What about the elderly on CPAP machines?

Who cares about your damn grapes?! ... besides you, of course.

“I’m outraged because it didn’t have to happen,” Newsom told reporters at a news conference in San Diego. “They’re in bankruptcy due to their terrible management going back decades. They’ve created these conditions, it was unnecessary.”

They are in bankruptcy for several reasons - one of which is Kalifornia laws about clear cutting...Gavin will use this to push climate control and Tesla owners will find out it's too late to charge their cars before the power is cu.....

They ABSOLUTELY made the right decision to hit the off switch.

Just for giggles I checked to see how much CALPERS has in PG&E. As of January, only about 47 mil. So they're not doing this to protect CALPERS.
