A new peer reviewed study by Danish academics has found that ethnic diversity has a negative impact on communities because it erodes trust.
It turns out that diversity is not a strength after all. The study, entitled ‘Ethnic Diversity and Social Trust: A Narrative and Meta-Analytical Review’, was conducted by Peter Thisted Dinesen and Merlin Schaeffer from the University of Copenhagen and Kim Mannemar Sønderskov from Aarhus University.
Seeking to answer whether “continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity” was having a positive impact on community cohesion, the study found the opposite to be the case.
Studying existing literature and also carrying out a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies, the researchers concluded, “We find a statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies.”
Eric Kaufmann, Professor of Politics at the Birkbeck University of London, also tweeted about the study, commenting, “Higher diversity *is* significantly associated with lower trust in communities, even when controlling for deprivation.”

Biological diversity doesn't mean nor imply diversity within species and/or groups. Rather, it means diversity within every conceivable environmental niche which in turn is the primary driver of speciation. That is, the very definition of in/out groups ie those that can no longer reproduce.
Regardless of these mundane semantics, the real issue - as I pointed out above - is the ability to identify enemy tactics and techniques. The wholesale brainwashing and gas lighting of entire populations is the real marvel. I would think prospective academics should study that phenomenon, rather than the obvious refutation of the ridiculous "diversity is strength" slogan.

By itself. When envy sets in, the idea of equality in a democracy makes itself naturally vulnerable to socialism. This is how:
70% immigrants don't assimilate. For whatever the other 30% do, the regular citizen gives up it's cultural collateral to the 70%.
Along with income distribution, there is a cultural redistribution. The standing culture fails to protect its own identity. It naively supposes good things don't need protecting. Or else envy has debased people into resignation: "If I can' have what I want when I want it, then everyone must be equalized." They will eat you for lunch.

Actually, diversity probably is a strength, but what the leftists call “diversity” is not diversity at all. What they call “tolerance” is actually intolerance, “liberalism” actually bigotry, “love” actually hate. It’s Orwell’s nightmare become reality: “war is peace,” “freedom is slavery”!

Our generation's "moon shot" is/will be genetic engineering and applied gene therapies. These medical advances will render moot superficial differences in appearances as people will be able to pick and choose cosmetic enhancements to skin, eye and hair color/texture. Other obvious medical applications will be cures for terminal illnesses, life extension methods and body repair (organ regrowth, cultivation & harvest).
But the real "killer app" will fundamental human alteration, as in improvements to IQ and the ability to rationalize associated social benefits. As major gov't programs are rolled out in the ensuing generations (think polio inoculations from the 50s), which standards will be applied? The violent regression law of the jungle, or the measured and patient attributes of advanced societies?
This is the true fail point of social engineering as conducted by the left: they actually believe culture has any significant influence on behavior and success. At least the prog's practice what they preach, wasting their efforts aimed towards remaking all of the west's importance institutions centered around education, law and governance. But sadly, all to no avail, as will be proven once more time that nature trumps nature every time.
It's odd to live in the present, but recognize the failed beliefs that will be laughed about in just a few mere years.
