A survey produced by the Harris Poll in partnership with Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) finds young Americans’ comfort with LGBTQ individuals has plunged from 63 percent in 2016 to 45 percent in 2018.
According to the Accelerating Acceptance report, Americans aged 18-34 who say they are comfortable interacting with LGBTQ people dropped from 63 percent in 2016 to 53 percent in 2017, and then to 45 percent in 2018.
The survey results are published as lesbian, gay, and transgender activists celebrate Pride month.
“At the same time, the Trump administration continues to attack the LGBTQ community through discriminatory policies and targeted rhetoric, and LGBTQ Americans are becoming more vulnerable to hate crimes and violence,” GLAAD said in response to the survey outcome.

It’s a fad. Young people want to be woke and different and embrace something their parents disapprove of. In my day, a guy could just grow his hair long and be completely counter culture. Then it was tattoos. (Easier to cut hair than remove tats) This time around they thought it would be cool to be ok with sexual deviants. This isn’t lasting as long...thank goodness! I can’t imagine what will be next. Perhaps the pendulum will swing the other way for a while.

In my experience, actual contact with individuals living in that lifestyle in real life (not just TV characters), causes acceptance of the lifestyle to decline. The awful truth is a vaccine against propaganda.
The trans community is really pissing off the rest of the perverts. Primarily the lesbos who are really mad about getting their butts kicked in sports by biological men and being told they have to accept “girl penises”.
The silent majority is speaking up instead of cowering in fear of Antifa-thugs in office?
Acceptance is great until guys start walking into the girl’s bathroom and beating your daughters all the time in sports.
I’m 29 and I’ve never been comfortable around untreated mentally ill people.
My three teen kids despise everything about “LGBTQ+” garbage, and so do their “gen Z” friends

This has been cyclical throughout human history.
Given tolerance, homosexuals always let their libidos run rampant. They do not tolerate their sexual advances being spurned, and then they get nasty.
It was easy to sell homosexuality to young people when all they had to go on were cutesy Hollywood portayals. It becomes a much harder sale when there are so many of them that a lot of teens have dealt with and angry, gropey queen.
I do credit Trump with this decline in tolerance for the deranged Leftists imposing their views on the rest of us.
Imagine where things would be under Madame President, and then it’s easy to understand how his unbending strength has given all of us strength.
Trump is reworking the entire world, and it’s a sight to behold.
These are the ‘Days of Yore’, enjoy every one of them.
Acceptance is very different than silent, disgusted toleration. I think the latter is far more prevalent.
This generation of kids have been the ones who have had to deal with this onslaught on a daily basis in their lefty schools. Things don't seem right; but, if you say anything you are a bad person. Also, these alphabet people seem to be very aggressive about their "orientation"; which means that it is very unpeasant to interact with them.
My only surprise, is that this has made it to the News section. I would have thought the powers that be would have deep sixed it.
Maybe they have seen what poor masters the homosexual community makes when they are given a modicum of power.
Yeah, hubby and I were quite disappointed by that. What I find is that inserting this into a show just stops the show in its tracks while we are visually lectured to by the Hollywood people (who know better).
Fortunately, there is such a thing as "Fast Forward", which helps a lot in these situations.
