What I saw at the Elizabeth Warren rally
American Thinker ^ | Oct 5, 2019 | Monica Showalter

It's always useful to know what a campaign is like, the lay of the land, so to speak, the supporters, the campaign operation, the candidate herself.

Here in San Diego, Elizabeth Warren paid a visit Thursday, so I went, taking my elderly mother, blending into the crowd to learn how things looked from the Democrat side.

The most obvious takeaway is that Warren is rising... Based on her own energetic appearance and stump speech, she's now begun campaigning as if she's got the Democratic nomination in the bag, and she's now attempting to move to the center.

That signals a swift campaign response to the de facto collapses of her Democratic rivals, which seem to be happening. Joe Biden is imploding over the massive corruption of his family political machine. Bernie Sanders is effectively out based on his age-related medical issues. Kamala Harris has been a goner ever since Rep. Tulsi Gabbard excoriated her in the second Democratic debate over her appalling record as a prosecutor. The rest are pipsqueaks. Neither Warren nor her campaign operatives mentioned any of that, but her San Diego stop showed pretty clearly that the Democrats are consolidating, and Warren is attempting to move toward the center as Trump's likeliest opponent.

All the same, she still has some weaknesses, and it's doubtful she can beat him.

The People have figured out this “Move to the Center” ploy Triangulation died with Hillary.

Ms. Warren's lies and deceit to STEAL favors intended for Native Americans will foreshadow much of her FAKES to the alleged center.

Watch out for gratuitous and fraudulent overtures to Veterans, patriots, folks who believe in Traditional America, and older citizens on the part of the Warren-the-deceitful-uber-socialist.

We will believe her (ha ha) centrist performances no more than her lies attempting theft of heritage from real Native Americans.

Warren is going to be the candidate. I think she’s going to be a tough candidate. This idea that she’s just so liberal everyone will see thru her is nonsense. They will portray her as a moderate and Trump as an extremist. Trump should be working on her as much as he’s working on Biden.

Interesting. If you told me right now that I had to accept a Democrat president to win in 2020, I'd pick Spartacus. My rationale is simple:

1. He's such a clown that I wouldn't even feel obligated to take him seriously. I mean -- who the hell calls himself "Spartacus" in 2018 ... or even 718 A.D.?

2. He's such an empty suit that he'd do anything he thought was politically expedient at any given time. If he had lived in the South during Reconstruction he would have been running around with the Klan burning crosses all over the place.

And so is anyone who supports her.
And I harp on that incessantly to them.

Showalter does allude to a problem that will be Warren's biggest challenge: Minority voters who make up a big chunk of the Democrat base have no enthusiasm for her.

If Warren is the Democratic Party nominee, I would not be shocked to see Trump get close to 50% of the vote among black men.

She’s an arrogant, privileged, academic Marxist, and I don’t think she’ll generate much popular support. The Dem base can do all it wants but unless blacks vote for her, she’s out of luck. And I don’t think they will.

There’s more than a few pictures where there’s thousands of people.

Look em up.

Lying to ourselves doesn’t help

Her biggest weakness at first blush is that she is that she has lied for years, to her advantage, about being an American Indian. Ward Churchill in drag.

Trump will never let her or the voters forget this fact. He will mock her with his pet names relentlessly. Pochanhontas. Fauxahontus. Little Big Horn Lizzie. He is the master at this and the names stick and will put her on the defensive trying to explain her way out of her own despicable past.

She is a phony that took advantage of affirmative action to get hired as a minority American Indian and makes $400,000 a year teaching ONE class. ONE class. Talk about income inequality.

And this is just for starters. She was almost at par with Bernie on giving everything away for free. She promises to end Washington corruption but is a US Senator and is part of that corruption.

She's big on the climate change cult and says the US military can lead the way in fighting it. What? The military fights our real enemies, not those imagined by ex-bartenders and angry Swedish 16 year olds.

She's for Medicare-For-All but dodges the question of funding by raising middle class taxes.

She's for open borders, ultra-millionaire tax, empowering workers through accountable capitalism (socialism), 100% clean energy (eliminating fossil fuels completely) and on and on with lots of foolish liberal ideas.

But then she also will campaign on taking things away from Americans, as well. Guns. Electoral College that conveniently insured Trump's election, taking away right of voters to pick their own healthcare, ending private prisons, etc.

She won't have chance against Trump in my opinion.

“I don’t think Trump will let her”

me neither ... there’s WAY too much video of her taking insanely ridiculous positions that can be used for attack ads, and there are only four possible responses to each of those past issues: endorse, deny, waffle, or dodge, and every one of those positions on her past issue positions is going to be unpalatable to one voter group or another ...

Keep in mind that Warren has attracted 15,000+ crowds in Seattle, New York and San Diego. Those -- especially NYC -- are places where you can find 15,000 people walking around in a 200-yard radius at any given time on a normal business day.

President Trump gets bigger crowds than that in some very small towns, and draws those crowds from hundreds of miles away.

The recent news that big Wall Street firms are threatening to dump the DNC and support Trump in 2020 is probably a much bigger threat to Warren than people realize.

That will be a major point for Trump if she starts rambling on about "student debt forgiveness" on the campaign trail.

"College wouldn't be so expensive if people like you weren't getting paid $400,000/year to teach ONE class, Chief Sitting Bullsh!t."

Considering she was in California this would be average for a Democrat. We will see after she assumes the top spot how well she does.

I’ve been to several Trump rallies since the fall of 2016. The CLOSEST one was 140 miles away!

Warren is consolidating early enough that it may block Hillary and Moochelle from jumping in.

Excellent article.

All that is missing is what an amazingly good liar she is.

Everyone should see this old video where she blatantly lied about the Indian ancestry when she ran for the US Senate—and was amazingly convincing while she did it.
