House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy on Thursday demanded Speaker Nancy Pelosi suspend the Democrats' impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump until Congress can agree on 'transparent and equitable rules' in the process.
His offensive move comes as some Republican lawmakers have been grumbling that the White House has not had a concise, planned response to the Democrats' move.
'I am writing to request you suspend all efforts surrounding your 'impeachment inquiry' until transparent and equitable rules and procedures are established to govern the inquiry,' McCarthy, a loyal Trump ally and prominent defender of the president, wrote.

I’d rather they suspend Pelosi.
What impeachment inquiry? They have not followed the proper steps to begin one.
Good. But should be IMMEDIATELY ENDS impeachment inquiry.
Which, by the way, is why no administration official is required to comport with requests/demands for paperwork or testimony.
It has no weight unless an impeachment inquiry is actually triggered.

If Democrat, Nancy Pelosi is sane at all, which I think and believe she is not, she will immediately end the Trump Impeachment Inquiry and remove Democrat, Adam Schiff to be a congressional back bencher for the rest of his entire career. Case closed!!!
And then Pelosi says to McCarthy “kiss my ass” and McCarthy responds to Pelosi “nevermind, I told the President it would make you mad and get me in trouble”. Then McCarthy says “I’m going to hide under my desk”.
Nancy’s response was: “You have to pass impeachment first if you want to see what we’re impeaching him about.”
There is no reasoning with a Communist.
Or add the Congresspersons running against Pres. Trump who voted to impeach on same grounds; abuse of office for personal gain (election).
Just because they call their witch hunt an impeachment inquiry does not change the fact that it is a witch hunt.
The house never voted to start the inquiry thus, there is not one.
Keep this in the news, drag it out, make them vacillate, make them piss off their own various constituencies. Who said we didn’t have a strategy?

Is it a RULE in Congress that a formal inquiry can only be initiated by a FULL HOUSE vote? Or can the majority in the House change the rules as they see fit?
