Smells like a badly done spook operation or a set-up by morons - who are about to get caught.

Unless Bolton was secretly a CIA embed.

Actually, that might explain a few things about Bolton.
There was a rumor going around (before this whistleblower thing broke) that Bolton was fired, not because of differences of opinion over Iran and North Korea, but becsause he was trying to cover for some hanky-panky in Ukraine.
Did Bolton forget the axiom that no one likes or trusts a traitor?
Because he’s pretty stupid if he did. I never took him for the kind of guy who would so blatantly finish himself. But he committed suicide (professionally speaking) if so.
If it was Bolton, it may be the greatest 4D chess move ever! Could it be that Bolton set up Schiff and the Dems with a bogus 2nd hand account that he knew would churn up the Dems and also be refutable with facts by the POTUS.

Beat me to the punch. Normally those two outlets would never ever give him the opportunity. But if he goes in knowing that his job is to trash Trump every minute of every day than they might just give him a shot.

Bolton has not changed. He’s the same guy that wanted us in the Iraq War. Freepers used to LOVE his policies. Trump has woken many Freepers up, and they aren’t all supporting the neocon war-war-war agenda anymore.

No, the whistleblower is CIA... or if he or she never comes forward to be sworn in, then a figment of Schiff’s imagination.

I have a hard time believing Bolton would do something like this. But one never knows what someone is capable of when their ego is bruised, but I think Bolton wears big boy pants so I just don’t by this.
Bolton was my first thought. Timing is perfect. But Sundance at Conservative Treehouse says he thinks it may be a CIA guy named Barry.
But I could be wrong.
