"During a campaign event yesterday evening, Sen. Sanders experienced some chest discomfort. Following medical evaluation and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted. Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days," said Sanders senior adviser Jeff Weaver on Wednesday in a statement. "We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.

It depends. An acute MI goes from the ER to the cath lab sometimes even bypassing the ER. If there is no evidence of acute MInthibgs are done at a more leisurely pace and the cath lab happens 1-2 days out if other tests indicate a cath is needed.
It’s amazing just how fast circumstances can change on the national level.
Cheney has an LVAD ( left ventricular assist device) which is a pump that is seated in the main chamber of the heart and literally takes over pumping the blood to the body. It is far more serious than a pacemaker
Things sure have come a long way. When I was in Med School the treatment for an MI was to admit them for three days so they could complete their heart attack.
Is this problem something that could have been detected with one of those $79 heart scans deals or are those mostly a rip off?
Stents are no big deal today.
Probably not. Those devices are for afib where the heart beats extra fast. Heart blockage that causes heart attack may only be directly known by cath lab procedures. Indirect methods include checking blood for troponin, ekg, scans. His only symptoms may have been chest pain.
Cheney almost made it ... of course he was younger then.
Trump should offer to let him go to the VA Hospital and see how much he likes it.
“So who will get his votes? Pocahantas?”
Yes.
For the most part, at least.
They say they use Electrocardiogram but then supposedly they also do a high speed CT scan to look for deposits in arteries along the walls. I was thinking of getting one but wondered if it was worth the radiation.
“Interesting that it wasnt reported yesterday.”
Is Drudge slipping? Or waiting for orders from the demokraps?
Bernie’s candidacy is over. At least he is covered by Medicare.
Cheney had a LVAD prior to his heart transplant in 2012. Does he require the LVAD today due to transplant failure?
Bernie will never be president.
AOC? I don’t think so either
Bernie prolly feels a lot better since getting that coronary artery opened up.
Bernie must have seen how much President Trump had contributed to his campaign.
