A charity event planned in honor of an officer killed in a 2018 mass shooting at a country music bar in in Southern California has been postponed indefinitely -- reportedly because a police chief didn't want Republicans invited.
The Blue Bowl, a charity flag football game, was intended to raise money for the family of fallen Ventura County Sgt. Ron Helus as well as other officers killed in the line of duty, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported.
Helus died last Nov. 7, when a 28-year-old suspect allegedly attacked the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, killing a total of 13 people and wounding about a dozen others. The suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities have said.

Ventura County is about 80% Conservative Republicans and 60% of the LAPD and LACSD live there, I used to. Both of these communist lovers will be out of a Job soon, the Sheriff will NOT be re-elected and I doubt the TO Chief will stay much longer after this bonehead statement.

I think the Sheriff made a decision based on bad information from Thousand Oaks, least the foundation seems to be giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Seems like it was sour grapes from Jackie Irwin that sparked everything.
I am the VP of a charity in southern California that deals with helping vets suffering from PTSD. Though I am a rock-ribbed, broken-glass, Republican (or, more accurately, conservative), I can tell you that we gladly welcome vets who have any political opinion, and we gladly and gratefully accept donations of money or goods from people of any political persuasion. All of their money is green, and if someone is doing the right thing, then nothing else matters.
This Chief is a Class A asshole, and a moron to boot.
I find a lot of old school liberals (think Hubert Humphrey, Henry Jackson types) who would agree with what Piers Morgan is saying.
