The inspector general for the intelligence community said late Monday that the whistleblower whose complaint touched off an impeachment inquiry claimed to have firsthand knowledge of misconduct -- a claim that appears to conflict with documents sent to Congress and the director of national intelligence.
The lengthy statement Monday was posted in response to questions, raised in the media and by congressional Republicans, about the disclosure form filed by the whistleblower, who first flagged concerns about President Trump's July phone call in which he asked the leader of Ukraine to "look into" actions by former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. The IG said the whistleblower stated on an initial form Aug. 12 "that he or she possessed both first-hand and other information."
According to the watchdog, the whistleblower "checked two relevant boxes" on the form: One stating, "I have personal and/or direct knowledge of events or records involved; and the other box stating, Other employees have told me about events or records involved.

Intelligence watchdog now says whistleblower claimed 'first-hand' knowledge, in departure from declassified complaint
whoops.....
Hi.
“a claim that appears to conflict with documents sent to Congress and the director of national intelligence.”
Methinks that’s called perjury.
5.56mm
“He lied about that but not about everything else.”
The IG is deep state, and I BET the complaint form has now been scrubbed and modified (by the IG in cooperation with IC coup plotters) to meet the new story line.
“Yeah, yeah, that’s the ticket. . . .”
The Truth has always been a foreign concept to these people. They just say whatever they want to say. They choose the Narrative over the Facts. And they continue to do this because they ALWAYS get away with it.
Lets see if they get away with it this time.
I’m certain that form has the verbage “under penalty of perjury, I swear... ....” before you sign it.
I’m sure that he had first-hand knowledge that someone told him something.
We need to see the official copies sent to Congress. Were BOTH boxes checked?
The perp was a CIA spy in the WH. The “watchdog” took 14 days to determine the veracity of the complaint and is in on the coup. Contrast that to the years IG Horowitz has spent “investigating” without drawing conclusions.
I’m confused. I heard, saw, and read that “first hand knowledge” was no longer required by recent changes in policy. WTF? Can this Swamp get any murkier?
Just stop.
Why is that not perjury?
Lying on government forms used to be called purjury.
Could be he’s telling the truth...May have been on a tapped line on orders from the CIA......
So this person is 1) a liar 2) has no direct first hand knowledge; but must be taken seriously. give me a break!
Does not apply to Democratic paid whistle blowers
