Joe Biden has insisted he doesn't want Barack Obama's endorsement in his third run for the presidency.

But if history is any gauge, Obama had no intention of going out on a limb for his former VP this time around.

The 'bromance' between the former president and Joe Biden that blossomed when Obama took office in 2008, dissipated in the post-White House years, according to an upcoming book about the pair: Barack and Joe: The Making of an Extraordinary Partnership.

While the two men did develop a strong affection for one another, there were times Biden drove Obama over the edge as the book reveals a younger Obama once rolled his eyes at Biden's constant babbling, sending a note to his adviser saying: 'Shoot. Me. Now.'

And it was a political embarrassment for Biden when Obama failed to step up and support his former vice president in both the 2016 and 2020 presidential races.

Wow, and I thought I was sometimes not-so-professional in gov’t meetings. This guy was President. If I had been caught doing something like that...

I wonder if that pernicious thought ever wafted lazily but enticingly through VP Biden's dense old mind...

I have on occasion used that phrase when I have to listen to someone very annoying. Probably would have said that if anyone had forced me to watch one of the Dem Presidential “debates.”

>>>Obama once rolled his eyes at Biden’s constant babbling, sending a note to his adviser saying: ‘Shoot. Me. Now.’ <<<

I can identify with that. I felt the EXACT same way every time I saw Hussein on TV or heard his voice. Gag!

The Founding Fathers did a close to perfect job with regard to our Constitution. However, I think a weak spot is in regards to how the VP is handled. For all the vetting the presidential candidates get during an election cycle, the running is basically an afterthought and often selected solely for strategic political purposes.

Originally the Constitution did not have the VP selected by POTUS as a ''running mate's. The VP was selected separately by the electoral college in a separate act after the POTUS election. Often the VP was from different party.

Obama never had the balls to reign-in Biden over his stupid remarks or groping of little girls and women. Because of his silence on these matters, you might as well say he condoned it. Biden has gone unchecked for years, so now they can all reap the blowback of what they have wrought.

This shows us more about Obama’s character traits than it shows us about Biden’s.

That's true.

So Obama didn’t like that Biden wouldn’t represent a “Teutonic” change Obama fancied he had brought about. Where’s the editor?

The first and most important qualification for promotion into the senior executive service is a lack of intelligence ( self-awareness ).

The second most important qualification is the ability to suspend ones sense of reality.

and finally, the third most important quality is the ability to polish your brown nose until it reflects perfectly the asses of those you kiss!

The higher up one climbs in the swamp the lower ones IQ becomes.

Part 2

‘’No mention of an office of vice president was made at the 1787 Constitutional Convention until near the end, when an 11-member committee on “Leftover Business” proposed a method of electing the chief executive (president).[10] Delegates had previously considered the selection of the Senate’s presiding officer, deciding that, “The Senate shall choose its own President,” and had agreed that this official would be designated the executive’s immediate successon.’’

Above from Wikipedia

Also

Originally the Senators were appointed by the State Legislatures. Remember, the country was the United STATES of America...with semi-autonomous sovereign states with a weak Federal Government.

The way it should be now!
