If you want to see how extreme the Democrats have gotten on gun control, you just had to listen to a House Judiciary Committee hearing last week.
It is one thing for Democrats such as Beto O'Rourke and Rep. Eric Swalwell (R-CA) to call for confiscating AR-15s and civilian versions of AK-47s. But in the committee hearing this past Wednesday, the loudest applause came when Democratic witnesses called for bans on all or at least the vast majority of guns.
"I believe that any weapon that can be used to hunt individuals should be banned," announced Charlottesville Police Chief RaShall M. Brackney in the hearing. Brackney and other witnesses showed just how far the Democratic Party has gone on gun control in only a few years.
Brackney was given a chance by Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL) to correct the record if she might have misspoken, but she only doubled down. Steube pointed out that any firearm could be used to hunt people down, and Brackney responded by repeating the point. She only clarified that police and the military would still be able to have guns.

Oh, they understand it perfectly. It is what is standing in the way of their totalitarian form of govt, which is why they are constantly attacking it, and trying to get rid of it.

There are some jobs WOMEN just should not hold - carte blanche - without some real specialized training.
Combat Generals, Police Chiefs, Sheriffs, or any kind of job that would NORMALLY require hands-on by ALL HANDS.
Granted the above have turned into political positions for the most part.
I ‘love’ the story from a couple of years ago (O’Malley was still a ‘household name’) Baltimore MD graduated an ENTIRE Fire Department Academy Class that was white males.
It seems that it was a ‘delayed entry’ class and all the other ‘qualifiers’ (there were many) got tired of waiting and went on to other ‘careers’ and when the class finally mustered, all that remained were ‘White’ guys.
They went ahead and ran the class, and upon graduation, some VERY SHARP EYES noticed there were no ‘People of Color, no Females, no minorities’ and all hell broke loose.
They quickly assembled a NEW class to start immediately to ‘fix’ the problem.
They were interviewing some middle-aged Black woman who lets just say ‘tipped the scale upward’ and when was asked about the travesty of ALL WHITE MALE fire recruits, she smiled, looked the camera and questioner right in the eye and said
“HONEY, if my fat ass is on the fourth floor and someone climbs the ladder to rescue, I ain’t gonna take the time to figure out the sex or color, just gonna pray that WE make it”....(CLOSE but not quite full quote)
No. Violent totalitarian thugs. They know exactly what they want to do.
They want to impoverish you, enslave you, and kill you.

There is a process for changing the constitution actually 2 methods. They can propose an amendment or they can call a constitutional convention. Neither of the two will have enough votes so they are attempting to bypass the legal means.

Police Chiefs are political appointees, Sheriffs on the other hand, are elected to office by the voters. In reality, they are the only law enforcement entity in the US who answer directly to the citizens they protect and serve.
Why can't we be reasonable? It is only common sense to ban every firearm in civilian possession. If it saves ONE CHILD.....
Black female chiefs, DAs, judges, and mayors are becoming very problematic.

What part of they don't give a cr@p do we not understand? I have been told all my life, that could never happen here, all the while it is happening.
This is in the UK but coming here soon I can assure you. Children as young as 4 will be taught how to masturbate, that could never happen here, right?
