Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) on Sunday criticized President Trump for quoting a pastor saying impeachment could trigger a "Civil War-like fracture" in the country.
"I have visited nations ravaged by civil war," Kinzinger tweeted.
"I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President. This is beyond repugnant."

The rare rebuke from a Republican member of Congress came in response to Trump tweeting a quote from Pastor Robert Jeffress on Fox News.

They’ll try to take out conservative judges, law enforcement and anyone who disagrees with them. Soros set up antifia to start the civil war.
They have and are trying to tear down the moral fabric of our nation for years. Abortion, destroy the institution of marriage, homosexual marriage, trans everything, allowing drugs to pour into this country killing our young, pervasive sex ed in schools, dumb down schools so people don’t understand they’re rights, movies, Hollywood and the media to sway the naive, welfare which leaves a person without purpose and dependent on government, and change laws to protect themselves from prosecution (just Incase). They have been planning this for years.

If the Limbaughian “Cold Civil War” ever goes hot, 95% of us, on both sides, would be calling a timeout after three days for the PTSD epidemic and the participation trophies.
On the other hand, Trump usually warns us of bad things that are likely to happen. It’s hard to parse out whether he is just frustrated or trying to tell us something that he he can’t directly say.
I prefer to see it as the 2nd American Revolution — freedom from the deep state.
That may be a possibility, however, a shaky alliance for sure just as it was in WWII.

Jeffress’ words were “Civil-War LIKE fracture”.
That’s a far cry from calling for a civil war.
In my experience, politicians need a sentence comprehension course.

I remember Dwight Schulz was recounting a story where he was with Bruce Paltrow (Gwyneth’s dad and a powerful tv producer - also a second cousin to the execrable Gabrielle Giffords) and Paltrow was saying the most vile things about then-President Reagan and it just made Dwight sick to his stomach. Paltrow knew Dwight was a Republican and had went out of his way to stymie his career by not casting him on “St. Elsewhere.” A real world-class a$$hole Brucie was. He died fairly young of oral cancer.
